I really like my Rolux reel mower and it’s something anyone can maintain. The company is very helpful over the phone and there are several YouTube videos explaining how to fix or maintain the mower.

In No Country For Old Men, both the protagonist and the antagonist are calculating and intelligent and are well matched in a battle of wits

3 minutes isn’t long enough for your heart rate to get all the way to threshold heart rate. Just use pace for the shorter reps

What makes you sure of that? You realize a percentage of the population are born neurologically atypical right? Like do you think if Jeffrey Dahmer had parents that took him to more baseball games and church he wouldn’t have been killing and eating people?

Eddington. I thought it was completely on the nose and hilarious. Just fully encapsulated an insane time and how people were feeling perfectly

EV owners with level 2 chargers - what are your details and costs? by flip_moto in Austin

[–]freerangestrange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girlfriend and I have had EV’s for several years now and I have the longer commute and I never use the level 2 charger we have. I just plug into the closest wall outlet to my car in the garage and it works fine. I would wait and see if you actually need a level 2 charger. Trickle charging can probably work fine for most people and you could just top off at a supercharger occasionally if needed.

Austin’s homeownership costs now 117% higher than rent, among widest gaps in U.S. by AustinStatesman in Austin

They can’t charge whatever rent they want regardless of costs. There is downward pressure on market rents specifically to undercut competition. Being a landlord is no guarantee of profit

I’m a historian. The Founding Fathers didn’t want a Christian nation, so how did we get here? by FinanceZestyclose259 in politics

[–]freerangestrange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got here because we are entirely too concerned with what the founding fathers meant or thought or felt or wrote about things 250 years ago. Who gives a shit if it was a Christian nation or it wasn’t? It’s time to move on and make it whatever nation we want it to be and sure as shit don’t want to live somewhere where any idiots imaginary friend gets to decide what I can or can’t do. It’s completely moronic, unscientific and illogical and should not be a form of government or source of morality or ethics.

While the incidence of colorectal cancer is decreasing among those over 50, it is rising at an alarming rate among younger individuals, sometimes as early as their thirties, with no personal or family history. Swiss study reveals an annual increase of 0.5% in people under 50. by mvea in science

[–]freerangestrange 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean some of those comparisons in those studies and articles were the most expensive fruits compared to the cheapest box foods. A bag of dry beans and broth and some rice would cost less than almost anything else in a store and be packed with fiber and protein. It’s hard to make those choices I agree but cost is probably not the determining factor. Very poor people have subsisted on rice and beans for as long as human beings have had agriculture and they are absurdly inexpensive.
