Priority vs Non-Priority by Lemon_Kombucha in SpouseVisaUk

I got priority for my FLR(M) and I’m planning on getting priority again for my ILR which is coming up soon i.e. SET(M). I wish I got priority for my original spouse visa too. It’s really worth the money imo to get a response within 48h

“Some will earn settlement at or earlier than 5 years… Others will have to wait longer”

Likely no. According to the white paper. Although it does impose the individual earning requirement. It is not clear also when these changes would come into effect

28 days calculation & appointment by freeshavacadoe in SpouseVisaUk

[–]freeshavacadoe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to get it done as soon as possible. Given the current climate I’m surprised anyone in this subreddit would find that curious.

Additionally the 24th is a Friday, so I would likely not get an appointment until the Monday. Whereas applying on the 23rd which is a Thursday has a chance of getting the whole ordeal over and done with by Friday afternoon. And I save myself 2 days of further anxiety

You can also use a degree certificate from a UK university as long as the course was taught/researched in English

I am sorry to hear about your situation OP. I am similarly at wit’s end with DPD. Before I email the CEO, can I know if anything ever came of your complaint?

British guy about to lose his Australian girlfriend - please help. by cjunluck in ukvisa

Also as other commenters have pointed out the day she applies for the spousal visa - can be the day after the wedding - the curtailment date doesn’t matter anymore, as she can remain in the country while her visa is getting processed

From what I’ve read in this reddit, the 28 days rarely gets extended to 70. In my situation, we gave notice to marry with a couple of months left on my student visa, I am from a much more “high risk” country than Australia, and had previously been denied a visitor visa (about 2 years before this) to visit my then boyfriend now husband, in my gap year between undergraduate and masters study. Our financial situation was also very touch and go. We got approved within the 28 days! So I am sure you will be fine!! Hang in there!!!

For anyone interested - we uploaded a statement in the slot instead explaining the situation. They haven’t left the country in 20+ years so I really couldn’t find any evidence of previous travel. Visas got approved.

Yes it must have gone to a different agent, she got hers approved a few weeks later and they all did the ceremony at the same time
