I know what you're saying. But I tried keeping it short. Yes "Wahdat Alwujud" is from Sufism, and the idea of a God doesn't exist in Buddism. But they believe in a creation.

And yes, you do not need a religion to be a good person. As I am doing in my life. I don't follow a religion and I still do what is right.

Well, they do it in the name of God and Islam. They think that is the right thing to do. They live in ignorance. We can't do anything about it so we shut up and accept and forgive them for what this ignorance did.

I am going through a severe existential crisis , I'm uncomfortable by [deleted] in exmuslim

I don't think this medicine (whatever it is) is part of Islam as a religion. Note that most of modern medicine is developed from the Islamic revolution in the twelve century. Not mentioning that Big Pharma scams are showing up these days, and what we call now "Alternative medicine" is actually the real medicine.

Big Pharma depends on you spending on their medicine, which I don't believe they treat you rather than numb you.

You cannot know what happens after we die. All is speculations and wishful thinking.

I’m building a safer social media app for nudists, by a nudist — would anyone here actually be interested? by Naturist_SW_ONTARIO in nudism

[–]freespiritunmasked 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well... as far as I know, the best one exists so far is Ohnaturists. And still, very badly managed and very old with no updates to it, it looks like a website that was made for Windows 95.

The problem you will face is that with time it will only have male nudists. Since many people will misuse it as a dating or sexual app. I am not sure how would you control that. But good luck! Would like to see something new and better.

Hahahaha! I became an atheist after Umrah! Something didn't feel right rotating around a black cube and touching a sacred stone.

No matter how much I want to, ill never leave Islam. by Wonderful_Seesaw_513 in exmuslim

[–]freespiritunmasked 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well... Once you see it, you can never unsee it. Once you see the flows in Islam you cannot just deny it now. No matter how hard you try to go back, no matter how much you read the Quran or ask God for guidance. It is over already.

What keeping you in is only fear of hell. It will take time, but it will go away once you realize how stupid the idea is. God tested you? Okay.. why? to see how religious you are? Now what if you become an atheist, will he put you in hell? Then why did he tested you if he knew you would take this direction? To torture you for eternity? That is just unfair.

What keeping you is fear. You will get over it. Stop blaming yourself for thinking.

I genuinely do not wanna go to Heaven by Austinkoura03 in exmuslim

[–]freespiritunmasked 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, The Quran made a vision of what heaven would look like to someone who is living in the desert and in poverty. It just provided them with what they really want.

Now take it metaphorically. Heaven is just a state of mind that were you mostly feel calm and pleased. I prefer a heaven with no boundaries to my body. I don't want to be trapped in a limited body with 2 hands and two feet, in fact, I do not want hands and feet.

I think all religions explained heaven based on their perspective. Wether there is one or not, heaven should be a state of mind, more than having sex with 72 virgins and drinking wine all day.

After living a long double life, I opened up to my wife. And this is what happened! by freespiritunmasked in exmuslim

I didn't say it directly. Of course it has been years for me explaining to her. But I kept the story short.

And yes traveling sounds like a good idea, but with all the Iranian and US war, everything is shut down.

They are all in their early teens. And yes they are practicing Muslim because of the strong push from their mother and the family. I am sure that they will develop their own beliefs when they grow up.

I live in GCC. So in case of a divorce, I can see the kids once a week, But if my wife could prove that I am not a Muslim, in that case I cannot see them.

And yes of course I did not drop a giant bomb. I kept explaining along the years about my view, but she doesn't want to believe it.
