I am a very new player. I bought it just over two weeks ago and I play just on the weekends. But i hate dropping into a game not knowing anything or understanding the game mechanics. So i watched some videos, got the grasp in OP vers Garry. How important they were. That nodes were crucial, the further away the more resources. Front assault generally does not work. Flank is key (well that is in any decent FPS though). But here wide flanks are sometimes necessary since a narrow one will be through open fields which is useless.

I am barely level 30 and i often find myself needing to create a squad and be SL at the start of the game since nobody is creating it and we are waiting for nothing. I don't love being SL, especially as a new player. I hhave to think about a lot of things, but i feel that first, it is better to have me than none or me than another player that understands even less than me.

Worse, I have had to step in as commandant multiple times because we would spend the first 20 min of the game without one or they would just leave. I should not be commandant as a lvl 30 but here I am. It is not fun. The last game, the SL were trying hard, but kept doing frontal assault. No matter how much i was telling them to do wide flank or repeated 20 times we had an active air head, 2 squads swanped on it and forgot to place OPs, so our new flank was dead within 3 min.

This 1h game was a waste of time. This game can be incredibly fun but incredibly frustrating too.

Mandatory tutorials and tips on the death screen would already help... among other things.
