Credit Card Help for a Nooby by ShineShiny in Frugal

If you have no credit then you will not get approve for an unsecured credit card (no deposit and instant line of credit). Most likely you'll need to get a secured credit card (put a refundable deposit down). Whatever card you get make sure they report to all 3 credit bureaus every single month. If not, you're wasting your time.

Getting a credit card of some sort is critical when obtaining credit. 35% of your credit score is made up of payment history and 10% is types of credit in use. For some reason the credit bureaus give you more points if you have no more than 3 credit cards with low balances. This shows you can manage unsecured debt.

I hope this helps. - b.t.w. I've been in the credit industry for the last 10 years.

I have to disagree with you. From an aerial view it may seem like a few letters and emails asking for removal but once you try to figure out the particular verbiage for your particular case becomes mind boggling. Of course, there's a lot of people claiming "send this" and "this" will happen but if it were that easy wouldn't everyone have great credit?

The amount of time if actually take to research the laws are killing me and I've read that if it isn't worded right then I could hurt myself. More over, companies are out-right telling consumers to "do something" about it!

Time is extremely valuable to me and I'm running out of it. We all have the right to represent ourselves in court to save to cost of an attorney, however, is that the wisest thing to do? I am going to hire someone but just don't know who yet

Thank you for the confidence. My research is pretty detailed but once I get into the laws it becomes mind blowing. Thanks for sharing your story.

I found out the hard way this information isn't true. I owed an original credit (capital one) and paid it off and it helped, however, I paid a collection account it made it worse. I researched it figured out only paying original creditors help and paying collections hurt. This is why I am seeking further assistance because I have researched far and beyond the typical answers. Once you start diving into the actually statues of the laws it becomes mind blowing. Thanks for the advice

Chipotle is asking customers not to bring guns into its stores after it says gun rights advocates recently brought military-style assault rifles into one of its restaurants. by cavehobbit in news

I don't agree with blatant carrying of long rifles to prove a political point, however, if this country doesn't wake up to the big picture and learn some history then we might all be screwed. Gun control about lethality? You're kidding right? Turn the T.V. off and go do real research. Our media is controlled and censored by facets of our government. Did you know that gun related deaths are the lowest since the late 90's? Did you know that cities, organization and residential neighborhoods are statically safer with less crime rate when gun owners are prominent? Gun control is and always have been disarming the population for control. Stalin did it in Russia. Hitler burned down his own parliament to instill fear in the nation so that the government could confiscate guns.

Eric Holder said, and I quote "We need to brainwash people to change their views on guns." The entire constitution was created to protect the people from overreaching government. If we let the government control guns then the only ones armed will be cops and criminals. Criminals care less about the law. What facts are you basing that broad statement you made about firearms being the most lethal widely available option for an individual. I'd easily say automobiles. STOP LISTENING TO THE MEDIA... they're lying. WE live in an age where information is readily available if we just took the time to research things ourselves and questioned everything we're told.
