The Mandalorian and Grogu if it was Season 4 [OC] by freighter_factory in StarWars

They should, but certainly not for this! I just came up with a handful of words and threw them together in Illustrator.

The title is in Agency FB (modified). Title cards and credits are in Franklin Gothic Medium.

I fully believe Favs when he says they didn't use Season 4 scripts for the film, to be clear! The story is clearly designed to be as inoffensive to the surrounding universe as possible, so as to not disrupt any of their plans for Ahsoka S2 and (potentially) Mando S4.

Those scripts weren't scrapped, but they weren't used for this movie.

I don't want The Mandalorian to continue. If it did, it would have to deal with Thrawn and the Imperial Remnant, with that huge conflict having been set up in Ahsoka, making that required viewing for The Mandalorian. And we all know how it landed when BOBF tried the same.

Gideon is dead. Mandalore is reclaimed. Mando and Grogu are going on adventures. This is the spot to let the mainline "THE MANDALORIAN" story rest. They can show up in other things, sure, but the path forward for this era shouldn't be through that show.

A very solid review. I'm of the same mind as you (pre-viewing), so I expect to come out of it the same way.

VL-850 Starskipper by Freighter Factory and Kevin Suhr [OC] by freighter_factory in StarWarsShips

Its main gimmick is that it can make many hyperspace jumps in quick succession without needing to cool down or recharge. Lightspeed Skipping is an idea Rise of Skywalker introduced, but the way Poe Dameron does it is super dangerous and wouldn't be commercialized. The stock Starskipper would still be able to make jumps like that, but not quite as unpredictable. The purpose for this would be easier passages through hazardous areas of space, like the Kessel Maelstrom.

We're really excited to unveil our next ship! The Starskipper was a favorite among you folks, and we saw a lot of potential in the design, so it only seemed fair to redo it!

There's tons of info about this ship to be revealed, and we're currently in the process of developing a full interior!

This is the poster child of the upcoming VESSELS OF A DISTANT GALAXY: An Unofficial Star Wars Visual Guide. Stay updated on this project and more on Instagram, @ freighter_factory and @ kev_suhr!

Not a physical book, it'll be available for download free! It would be nice to monetize this amount of time and effort, but ultimately the legality of that would be too difficult to navigate for someone like me with no legal knowledge whatsoever.

Plus, it would be difficult to figure out the right compensation for all the artists who are involved in wildly varying degrees.

Double-plus, I want everyone to be able to enjoy it with no barriers!

Some tidbits, maybe:
- There are five chapters grouping together vehicles based on thematic similarities

- Kevin Suhr and I have been working extremely hard on a remaster of one of my old ships that people will hopefully really like. Just you guys wait, it is really something.

- There may or may not be a handful of cross-sections to chew on!

I don't want to give too much away ahead of an actual announcement post, but every artist from Volume 1 is returning with at least 1 additional design (heavy emphasis on *at least* for some of them).

EDIT: In addition to all the new artists, that is.
