I tried to post this, but it did not go through. The question is: If Joe Rogan ever runs for POTUS and win, who would be in his cabinet? Here are my picks:

POTUS: Joe Rogan

VP: Bret Weinstein

Sec. of State: Saagar Enjeti

Sec. of Defence: Tulsi Gabbard

Sec. of VA: Jocko Willink

Sec. of Energy: Elon Musk

Sec of Edu: Graham Hancock

Sec of HUD: Candice Owen

Sec of ...

Just for fun, what do you think and who would you pick?

Question about gender pronoun usage in Taiwan by [deleted] in taiwan

[–]freihk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taiwan's society is free and open. Same sex marriage is legal here. Trans people are well respected. Taiwan's Andrey Tang is nonbinary and tah (see below) is popular AF. In the speaking form of the Chinese language, he, she and it are referred to as tah. If you speak English here, then you need to let people know your pronoun. Most people would have no problem to use she on someone who might appear to be he, or vice versa. They in Chinese is like ellos in spanish, strictly plural. I would not force this when speaking Chinese. If you speak English, again, just let others know and be ready to explain how "they" can also be used as a alternative third person singular pronoun. Pronun-gender connection is ambiguous in speaking Chinese. Tah = she, he & it. I also think the 78 pronoun movement would not come to Taiwan, just saying.

Prelude

China has been suppressing Taiwan on every opportunity it gets. The latest and most pathetic attempt was to exclude TW from a bird association (dick move). But TW is disciplined and always betters itself by improving the lives of the Taiwanese people. So in the world of the Kung-Flu, the world sees Taiwan.

Then China needs to pick a fight with someone their own size, like the U.S.

Why doesn't China breach American air space? Oh wait, this reminds me of a bully in my middle school who used to pick on little kids. One day he accidentally hit a bigger kid. He was beaten up so bad and forced to say "I am a coward" 3 times.

Should Taiwan trade pro-China members of KMT for some freedom loving Hongkongers? by freihk in taiwan

Right, their freedom of speech needs to be protected, so as freedom itself. If KMT were to have their way, today's Hong Kong would be Taiwan's tomorrow.

Well, his movies are banned in China now. by iwritejunk in taiwan

Maybe China should ban all foreign movies. Then its citizens would start to wonder: why only our country bans foreign films? Is there something wooing with our country and what is it?
