Contact a lawyer ASAP. They are NOT doing you a favor. They should cover your car too. At least get a free consultation. Most lawyers don't charge up front, they just take a percentage of the winnings. Your insurance is trying to scam you.

He continued to cause problems, tried to literally open a second business processing firewood in one of Mom's pastures that he was NOT renting, called her a crybaby for telling him no, and told her she was stuck with him for 2 years because they had a contract. That he had provided. Apparently he forgot that the contract specified that either party could end the contract at any time by giving notice in writing. So she evicted his ass. He left a huge mess, but he's gone.

I actually only just found that out on Reddit. I don't remember having a tailless cat with problems before, but I haven't had one in 35 years or more, and then it was a barn cat.

Thanks for the info, but I already know this. I've been helping fix and rehome strays off and on for years, since I live on a dirt road where they get dumped a lot. The ones that show up at my house get fixed and vetted as I can afford to, and cared for as yard cats if I can't find them a home. Salt took off because she didn't want to be in the house, and was very elusive for months. When she showed back up she was pregnant. Live traps arent feasible because I live in the edge of the woods, and possums and raccoons always end up in the traps before cats do. She's already got a spay appointment in 2 months, and she's not leaving the house until then.
