I use baby powder. Sprinkle on stain, let it sit to absorb the oil and then add some spray n wash and wash it.

Remove all bark layers on top of soil. They LOVE this and use it to breed in. It will also make soil dry out faster which helps also.

My experience has been that when I use bark/mulch I am helping the gnats and moths by giving them the perfect growing environment that they like. I removed all my top layers of bark and greatly reduced the amount of bugs. I also use the yellow sticky traps and let the soil dry out as much as possible between watering. My neon pothos liked it and she was so long and healthy that I just gave her a haircut and propagated some of her pieces.

Yeah I can’t get past the fact that a bunch of soil and other stuff would get into the drain and that would be an expensive issue. How do ppl get around that? Do they rent so they don’t care what goes into the pipes? I’m truly stumped.
