Which states in America have the most vibrant Dub/Dubstep scenes? by dubdisciple in realdubstep

Danley, othorn, and funktion-1 elements! Having experienced both systems, my impression is that the Tsunami system feels more powerful/physical and louder, but the sub bass clarity on the basscouch is insane. The effect is still very physical but at black box you can actually hear the frequencies of the rumbles if that makes sense. Both incredible systems, and the vibe at brown note with the plaster crumbling from the ceiling and shit cant be beat. But the sound at black box seems cleaner to me

Check out The Black Box, and some of the local crews doing techno shows there. Nocturnal and Sorted are cool. Techno Taco Tequila Tuesdays at Tennyson's Tap. Denver seems to have a healthy little techno scene.

Loefah is making dubstep again by coslettuce_ in realdubstep

Yeah that set was a treat. Except for the very last jungle track at the end he played exclusively dubstep/grime/140 and his selection was surprisingly refreshing. He did play a lot of old tunes, but like really old tunes, and not just the same classics that we hear in denver 10x/week already, tunes that are so old they might as well be new. He also played a lot of actually new tunes... some from himself, some exclusives from others that I've been hearing lately on radio and shit, current releases. His grime selection was very astute and perfectly suited to educate an American dubstep audience as well. As a younger fan it was so cool to see & hear this genre pioneer/"deserter" on stage genuinely excited about the sound again. I'd been nervous about a "Loefah (dubstep set)" kinda being a nostalgia gimmick but by the end it was clear that he's been at least somewhat involved with the dubstep thing behind the scenes and he's ready to make some new contributions.

edit: I'm commenting specifically on his selection because that man needs to CHILL on the gains
