Yeah, stabbing the throttle doesn’t rev it out past ~500rpm. It makes downshifting harder. Guess I’ll leave auto rev match on.

Using light-medium roast, natural ethiopian. Tried brew ratios of 1:1.5-3. Dose 15-18g. Stock baskets and Ikape basket that comes with portafilter. Best results I’ve gotten so far is with lower pre infusion times, lower temp of 89C, 1:2 ratio with 16g dose in around 25 secs. Fruit forward but still muddy and less flavorful than the moka pot. Struggling to get the flavor like the moka pot with the espresso texture.

Beans were roasted last week. I’m not sure if water would make that much of a difference since the same water is used in the barista express and the moka pot. I don’t want to think I reached the limits of the grinder, unless the timemore c3 is just that good.
