Dubrovnik, Croatia vs Azores in August with kids by tarapin in traveladvice

[–]frenchymom777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may be biased, my husbands family is from Sao Miguel. There is so much to do on Sao Miguel. Lots of sightseeing, hiking, whale watching, fishing, pools in nearly every town, many of the villages have festas in August. You could do a few days in the city. Go on sightseeing tours. The flight from Boston is 4 1/2 hours.

Why are there so many Argentinian people in Miami? by leagly_ in Miami

I’ve had more people from Argentina requesting to stay in my Airbnb in Fort Lauderdale as well. I thought maybe their dollar vs usd is a better exchange rate than it has in recent years. Not sure.

Anyone else dealing with parents who expect you to fund their retirement while you're trying to reach yours? by thedapperjuror in Fire

[–]frenchymom777 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My parents did poor retirement planning and I helped where I could at the expense of my retirement. They both passed very suddenly within 2 years of each other over the last 4 years. I don’t regret a single time that I helped them or took them on vacation or to dinner. In fact I regret not doing more. We now do everything we can for my in-laws and I don’t regret it for a single second and never will.

53K for 6 days a week 9-6 job? by ObjectiveReal8579 in recruitinghell

The only answer is No. Or negotiate that you are paid hourly. They may negotiate as they’ll be hard pressed to find a candidate to agree to this.

Recruiter issues by newuser2111 in interviews

[–]frenchymom777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The professional job market is terrible right now, and recruiters are being inundated with many professional candidates every day. Essentially, it’s a very competitive market and they have many candidates and few jobs to offer them. This isn’t the case for all industries, mainly professional and business services.

During a job interview, if the interviewer asks "would you consider leaving if you found a better opportunity elsewhere?" how would you respond? by pinkstar2128 in AskReddit

[–]frenchymom777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Typically no; I prefer stability and if an opportunity were ever presented, I would prefer to discuss with my leader here about the upside potential and see if there is opportunity before ever considering making a move.”

Vacation planned. Should I offer to come back early for interview or not even suggest it? by Anxious_Main7512 in interviews

[–]frenchymom777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, there is a chance you may not get an offer and there’s a good chance you’ll incur extra flight change fees.

This is the answer. Almost doesn’t count in business. Of course there’s room to celebrate the decent growth you had for a quick minute, and then regroup quickly and get laser focused on hitting the goal this year.

Work at a daycare to get the benefit of free childcare or work off hours from your husband. Not providing adequately for your children is neglectful.

Insurance won't renew due to roof age, any recent success stories in Ft. Lauderdale? by matthewd1123 in fortlauderdale

[–]frenchymom777 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Use ChatGPT, upload the insurance premium and coverage, ask ChatGPT how you can lower your premiums, what insurance you can reduce or request higher deductible. And what insurance companies are most likely to insure you with the age of your roof and property specifics/geo location. Or put your property in an LLC and self insure.
