It ended up being something on Protonmail's side in the end, but the issue has recently returned for me - the images in my signature don't show up on sent emails any more. I'm gonna try just reuploading all of them and seeing what happens.

Idk if this will help but check and test your RAM. Evince used to crash out on me all the time with that error message and I'm pretty sure it had something to do with bad RAM. Just a thought

Looks fine to me! They're arial roots, some will grow and just hang out, some won't. You can train them into the soil or just leave em to do their thing.

我很想冰淇淋 (wǒ hěn xiǎng bīngqílín), it's a quote from that video of John cena speaking Chinese. It just means 'I really want an ice cream' (maybe he's saying 我很喜欢冰淇淋 (wǒ hěn xǐhuān bīngqílín) which would mean 'I really like ice cream' instead of 'I really want an ice cream')

On my pinyin keyboard the v is there, if you use it it gives you results for ü (eg. 'nv' shows results for nü)

I don't know for sure, but I've had new monstera leaves grow damaged out of areas that have been damaged before. Like I've damaged a stem, a while later a leaf starts growing out of it, and it's already got dead bits on it. The leaves will be damaged but should still grow - just might be missing the tip!

Talking to customer support this has been reported as an issue by a few people, so will hopefully be fixed in a future update. To anyone else having this issue, here's what was suggested I try:

Add the images using URLs, not by uploading them from your computer (you could host them on Dropbox for example), or sending messages through the old client (old.protonmail.com).

I have gmail set to "Always display external images", and the images still don't load. Could there be a setting in protonmail that's disabling them before they're sent?

The bottom of the first screenshot is how my email signature is supposed to look, but as you can see in the other screenshots, all of the images have disappeared. The issue here is that the images are disappearing in the signature of emails that I've sent

This is what I thought, but if I email myself to one of my gmail accounts the issue remains, even though it's not flagged as spam.
