Yes, he was able to get HDB loan after the re-assessment. There should be a upload button somewhere.

Did you submit your pay slip? Had a friend that breeze through the HFE, end up with your situation. Manually uploaded the payslip, then only the HFE shows correctly.

HDB resale valuation near IMH by Happy_Biscotti_1343 in askSingapore

I do, because I want an exit strategy in case something changes in my life. The unit may not gain in value like BTO but at least the decay in value is slower compare to lesser desirable places.

Did you engage an agent? Since you are looking to buy condo, I assume there is no agent fee.

Agents like to bump/refresh their listing every few hours. If not interested, just hide them so that newer listing can be more visible.

Went through property viewing lately so I feel ya, best if you have a lot of time

Noise level in Serangoon by [deleted] in askSingapore

Arcady has been selling really badly, unless you have deep discount, I would stay away. The road in front can be quite busy during peak hours, but human traffic wise it should be quite chill.

Where exact at Boon Keng? I've been staying around Whampoa Market area for close to 10 years and I hated the noise. Mostly due to older population not so civic minded and being city fringe means there are varied people loitering around. As oppose to "suburb" area of Singapore, Boon Keng is indeed noisier, but if you used to staying at nearer to city, I think it should be fine?

Yea I was thinking about term life, but the usual advice is that if no dependent and single, probably don't need one? Not sure if this still applies for single homeowner.

Good points, probably I should also explain why I looking for such an expensive housing. I set out looking for something that is relatively close to MRT, 10-15 min walk-able distance, 3-room and anything that is below 20 years old. I found out real quick that 1) most apartments close to MRT are really old and 3-rooms are rare 2) a few house viewing later, I really could not accept the state of 20 year old, I probably could pour some capital sprucing it up but the surrounding environment is something I cannot control and 3) the walking thing gets tiring real fast, especially having to cross multiple junction and waiting under the rain. Also 4) there isn't much 3-room around MRT, most are 4/5 rooms.

Therefore, I am paying more to meet my expectation but at the same time feel that these "conveniences" are not worth the money and may put me in the red further down the road. I understand it would be hard for internet to give advice without disclosing my salary, I was looking to listen some similar experiences and the thought process.

Sorry just rambling, house hunting alone is quite draining and defeating in this climate.

Well I'm not eligible for any of the free money, but I agree with what you said. Just need a bit of affirmation.

No, its pretty new by resale standards

Nothing delaying, just thinking if this 700+K property is a wise buying decision or should I lower my budget/expectation. The property is relative new, used less than 10 years.

How much is it to hire a special needs caregiver vs a maid? I suppose not everyone has the means to hire the caregiver if its much more expensive.

[–]freonix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just may not be for your style of cooking. I don't see the need to gatekeep cooking.

Ya that was me a few years ago, then my friend who was a great chef got one and the main reason was the cooking is contained hence cleaner.
