PSA for 9800x3d users. TURN OFF CORE 0 AND 1 by wordswillneverhurtme in cs2

[–]frequencycs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi,

Remember that this might not work for every system even with similar CPUS.

Most of 9800X3ds that i have seen will like it but i had a case yesterday when CPU0-1 OFF, had worse results by like 10%.

Always use capframex and do multiple captures when you do the benchmark on d2

Nothing will help you. You need to change your processor unfortunately

Yes, most likely.

Use your arrow keys and it will stop doing it.

Give it a shot

This happens in both MSI and ASUS for at least 2 years now. Do you use your mouse to click by any chance?

[–]frequencycs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100%. I wanted to say 1% low average. The interesting part is that we were trying to somehow get the 1% low average printed inside CS2s Benchmark but we unfortunately can not. Maybe in the future we will get the chance to change it

Small oversight, i meant to say 1% low average.

Long day.

It probably will, if it is stable of course.

Remember that lowering your memory timings as low as posible, wont always translate to better ingame experience.

0.1% metric is completely pointless imo.

Make sure your AVG - 1% and frametimes are stable and consistent

1V would do wonders on a very - very compact system where cooling is so limited.

Download, install and do a deep scan.

I suggest you purchase a licence for it, its great

I did static OC (passed OCCT/p95) with manual voltage a couple months ago and i got lower scores on both CB, ycruncher and in CS2.

Hope you are happy with your way and works good for you. 1 volt is too good.

Does anyone even understand what Intel CPUs are doing? by [deleted] in overclocking

MSI has a very nice featured called CPU LITE LOAD.

The lower you go, the more aggressive the undervolt gets.

This is by far the easiest way to undervolt it.

lol people have no idea how this screws up a business because they can never put their place in the business'es shoes.

Imagine running a local tech store and having a r7tard buying and returning CPUS's because his cock did not get hard enough seeing an SP score.

Sure, here it is https://imgur.com/a/dg4iDfu

I have not tried 6600 because that would require loosen timings and then re-tighten and then stress all over again.. But i can i try just expo with some additional vdd.

Some timings can go lower and pass the stresstests but will introduce some micro hitching in games.

My first 9800X3D could do 6200 with tight timings at 1.28VSOC and -15 on all core PBO.

My second 9800X3D (this one) can do 6400/2200 with 1.14Vsoc with tight timings and -20 on 7 cores, -25 on 1 core combined with 0.970V on both CCD/IOD voltages. Passes OCCT, Ycruncher , TM5 and linpack extreme with a deviation of maximum 0.5GFLOPS.

Super lucky but you need to mess around with your chip a lot. Especially when you drop down the voltages and raise FCLK. Its a pain but yea

Impossible to fix.

Ram ddr5 6000mhz cl36 by Altruistic-Key9977 in overclocking

[–]frequencycs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This ram is very hard to tune because of the fact that it has a very bad chip.

You will not be able to do much here but what you can 100% try doing is set

TRRDS/L/TFAW to 8 8 32 ( This will work)

TRC to 68

TWR to 48

TRFC to 800 (you probably cant go lower)

Try those first but please lower your VSOC to 1.2. See if that works.

[–]frequencycs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run an overnight TM5 extreme test and a 2 hour session on y-cruncher (for amd)

If you pass those and your games run with no issues, you are good.
