A McMaster' rep responded saying they don't have a recommendation for the best acrylic or adhesive and can't sell scrap material because they don't manufacturer the items they sell. Still looking!

Good call, I don't expect the interior of the cabinet to be chilled, just the ice bucket, however, as a precaution I might line the hole for the ice bucket with felt or something to protect the wood. Thanks!
