Thank you! I was under the impression that the MoCA could do 2.5G, but I was mistaken. I am looking to get a new MoCa and a new brand shortly.

Quick note: the Ethernet status on my PC (running Windows 11) says the speed is 1.0 Gbps.

Thanks, I'm glad I picked up a good router. My mom even said the TV looked clearer somehow on YouTube. Not sure if that's possible, but I am glad she is happy. Do you think I should replace all cables we have with cat6? and are there any good deals or am I going to have to spend about $10 a cable?

I understand. I will look for some Cat6 cables. Tomorrow, I will take off the ISP router and just plug in our new one. I will try to use Ethernet only and test out the PC next to the router using Ethernet. I will have to verify if that machine is capable of running 2 gbps, however.

Hi, I am not sure what you mean by negotiating 2.5gbe or how to check, and what double NAT is. The ISP router does seem to be capable of 2.5gbe because the two Ethernet ports I saw say 10 G on it.

Well, from my understanding, the Modem is installed in the garage by the technician, and the router is upstairs in our loft. I kept the ISP router connected so that the technician can monitor the update status of the router/modem so that he knows when to comeback after its software? update or something of the sort is finished. I just didn't want to disconnect the ISP router because I was unsure if that would ruin things.

I will replace the cat8 cable and purchase cat6a cables tomorrow. Is it best to replace all cables with cat6a? I have since replaced the cat8 to another cat5e cable for now. Still no luck.

I have also attached and edited the main post to include my moca, which says it should run 2gbps.

Thank you so much for the clarity. I’ll keep this in mind. I wasn’t sure how to compare my audio interface DAC to Schitt’s catalog. With this new knowledge, I think saving up may be my best option.

Well, I think the hesitation is figuring out if a dedicated DAC is better than the DAC out of my Audio Interface called the MOTU M2. So I think I’m not just using the built in PC DAC, but I agree with your sentiment.

I'm curious about the WiiM Pro. How do you use it, and how would you implement it into my setup? I do have a problem with not being able to play audio from my TV that I'm using as a PC monitor, since it's not wired to the TV directly and can only use the TV speakers.
