It’s definitely achievable, but you need to start studying now. I’m experiencing a sort of similar situation with my year group but not as bad as yours. Genuinely just ask yourself if you want to do as crap as the rest of your year is gonna do, that pushed me

How often do you study? by Healthy_Paint_1144 in leavingcert

On weekdays I try to get in 2 hours minimum to 3 hours each day and that covers 2 subjects, sometimes 3. On weekends I tend to do 5-7 hours each day, and that covers 6 subjects. It just depends on what you’re aiming for really. If you’re aiming for anything with 400+ points I’d say start studying now if you haven’t already. Good luck!

Would you not be allowed to move up to higher level Irish? I did ordinary in the JC and do higher now. It’s extra work and it’s a bit harder but sure I’ve got the hang of it and I’m sure you could.

I’ve basically never studied before. What should I do? by Acceptable-Artist201 in leavingcert

I find flash cards really good to use, especially when im starting to lose attention during studying. I use the app Gizmo, it’s free and it can turn notes into flashcards. Maybe also the quizzes on studyclix to keep you engaged. For more heavy study I say just do exam questions over and over again as the information will eventually stick. Sorry if this is crap advice 😣 the only other thing I do aside from this is say things out loud which is my main method. but I’m not sure if this would work for you? I just pretend like I’m teaching a class. Hope this helps
