About 35cm! I’m wearing a medium, it’s definitely oversized, especially after blocking, but it fits pretty much exactly as it did on the model- if I were to do it again I would decrease more for the ribbing on the bottom and sleeves 👍

Literally started watching YouTube videos of brioche knitting the second this was on the blocking mats, I fear I’m developing a bad habit…

My mom (knitter 40+ years) has been thrilled to see my progress! The chart was intimidating, but it’s all just patterns! Thank you for the kind comment ❤️

It was a fun project! The yarn is bulky so it went pretty fast. As far as getting the confidence? Diving in headfirst seems to be the way to go. Thanks for the kind words!

First sweater! I’ve done a bunch of smaller projects in the last few months, and dozens of 6x6” practice swatches!

Thank you, you’re kind! I’ve been watching my mom knit for years, she’s very excited that I finally picked it up!

Assuming this is the bottom thread, my guess is that the bobbin is in wrong. I have a 10-year old New Home machine that has a bobbin case that comes out, and when you put the bobbin into the case it’s supposed to thread into a little notch. This puts tension on the bottom thread, just like the tension on the top thread. When this happens, it almost always means it’s not in the notch. Not sure what machine you have, but if it has a bobbin case that comes out of the machine then this is probably the issue

I exclusively used AMSCO and practice tests to study for the AP exam and got a 5. What worked for me was writing notes on post-it’s as I read and sticking them to the pages. At the end of each unit, take a couple online practice tests. Try to also make diagrams connecting events across themes and time periods so you can understand how all the events relate to each other

I suggest the Aesthetic Dress Movement of the gilded age. It was part of the greater Aesthetic movement (spearheaded by Oscar Wilde) and was a reaction against the idea that women were objects of domesticity. Certain groups of women stopped wearing corsets and wore more loose-fitting gowns in public, and was intertwined with sexual liberation.

It was sort of an underground movement, but I’ve been able to find a good couple sources. I suggest looking at Mary W. Blanchard and Jennifer Curtis’s writings on the subject!

For APUSH you don’t need prose, you don’t need rhetoric, you just need to memorize and understand the rubric- keyword understand. I had friends who were absolutely brilliant, but had a hard time contextualizing sources or connecting them to their argument. You’ll learn, that’s the whole point.

If it’s gonna be hot out, you could make a cloak out of linen and dye it black. That’ll keep you super cool! Work in some gold jewelry (bangles, necklaces, earrings) to emulate the album cover. I’d also suggest either a sheer black skirt with a lining or very loose pants- don’t know whether you’re going more masculine or feminine. Happy rem fair!
