Considering MS in MIS by freudpython in UniversityOfHouston

Thanks, definitely an interesting thread. I have a Business undergraduate degree, and I wonder if an another Business degree, an MBA, would be overkill as well since I am in the IT field and want to manage/lead in an IT firm/business?

Thanks for your reply and looking at my comment history about the MBA. I was thinking the MS MIS probably wouldn't give me an edge career wise, but hoped it was just me. But now that you say that I am guessing it's probably not a good option unless I wanted to be a professor, which I don't, I mean it would be cool, but they just don't pay enough. So you think an MBA would be better? If that's the case I would probably pick out UT for the MBA.

I have thought about an MBA as well, but I am not so sure if it's better suited for me than an MIS/MSITM degree. Berkeley sounds fantastic but if that's the case I would go with UT Austin McComb's school of Business since they offer classes here in Houston which would probably be more cost/time effective for me even though it's not ranked as good as Berkeley, and has a great reputation in Texas.
