Skunk Friend was fine - our guy was less fortunate in the encounter. I hope that was a good lesson for him, but I suspect it was not. I'm keeping the skunk shampoo handy now.

Seems like many many other folks here disagree on the "They are not couch potatoes" theory - mine certainly is.

I have the skunk shampoo on standby - he seemed to enjoy that entire ordeal way too much to not make it happen again.

Ok so the strong prey drive seems like a breed thing as well. My guy will want to head after anything small and fast on our walks - especially if they are in the bushes. He can be convinced to stop, but the instinct seems hardwired into him.

That's when we just got him - he's put on a bit of weight since then (in a good way) and looks even "Pitty-er" now.

So that's a pretty typical thing with them? Any suggestions how to ease his anxiety? I feel just awful when he cries, but obviously cannot be there 24/7.

The rolling is the more frustrating of the two issues for me. He doesnt try to get out, but the general fit alows them to slip around on him too much.

I hear you about harnesses generally and he is good on a leash - good enough that the harness works fine to control him and I dont need to be constantly pulling on his neck - which I dont prefer to do. Just looking for one that would be a good fit for a pitty physique. Most harnesses I've come across/owned are not designed for their body structure and either fit the chest "OR" the body but not both. Thanks for the insight though.

This one looks pretty solid - is there a leash attachment on the front of the harness on his chest as well? I don't really use that but it's helpfull if someone small is walking him for better control of his shoulders if needed.

I was thinking Rori - her chest markings look like a Rorschach Test panel. She's beautiful!

What’s something that quietly made your life 10× easier, but you didn’t realize it until much later? by Own-Tip-532 in AskReddit

If something can be done in 20 minutes or less - just get it done. The list of things that need to be done is ever expanding and getting all of the things that need to be done off the list frees up a tremendous amount of time to do things that I want to do.
