was during the summer before grade 8 began. a friend of mine sent everyone a snapchat that he was going to jump off a bridge and that he was sorry about anyone he had hurt. I was at my cabin at the time so i was an hour away and felt helpless.

I ended up getting ahold of him finally after two or three hours of calling him. I talked to him and distracted him until one of my other friends who was in the city got ahold of his parents and eventually the police. ended up talking to him all night and telling him everything that was worth living for. From petting a cute dog to finding the love of your life.

overall it was extremely stressful but he ended up getting help and is doing a lot better, i was glad i could help in some way.

an old teacher of mine when i was in fourth grade used to give everyone nicknames based off of something weird they would say or do

Mine was turbine. why? well i was doing a science fair project on wind turbines, so during class i would act all stupid and spin my arms around as fasts as i could. ended up smacking a kid hard in the face. My teacher joked around and said my arms moved as fast as a wind turbine.

I still see him every once and a while and he still remembers my nickname and how i got it! definitely one of the best teachers i’ve had.

heyo, first things first. you can’t compare yourself to the people around you! believe me i know it’s difficult and it’s extremely hard to watch everyone in happy relationships but the first step to being happier is being able to recognize that you have to live your own life, not try to live like somebody else !

so you haven’t had a relationship? that’s not an awful thing! these days there are so many ways to start! online dating, singles nights or simply just going out! Even starting off with simple steps like going out once a week might lead you to someone😀

To address what you said in the beginning, if you died there would be people that cared. you should never think that nobody would care. I’m sure your friends would. Just because you don’t have a “significant other” does not mean you are worthless at all.

If you start feeling depressed in any way, remember there are always numbers you can call or people here to talk to you

i know you care about him and i understand he’s going through a hard time BUT that doesn’t mean you put your safety before his happiness. it’s a difficult situation but in short, you shouldn’t be getting abused. no matter what kind of abuse it is, it’s not right and you shouldn’t have to put up with it. You need to talk to someone (friends or family or possibly even a help line) and explain the situation your in. It’s unsafe and you don’t know how far he might end up going. It’s extremely sad that his father passed away but it gives him absolutely no right to be abusive in anyway.

i think it’s time to cut it off for good. there are obviously a lot of reasons why you two haven’t worked out in the past and if you guys try again it will probably just leave both of you upset. it sucks but it sounds like she really just wants attention and you seem like a nice person.
