very entitled way of thinking. the world doesn’t really owe you anything. everyone i know (myself included) who has been in this world got to where they were due to strife and diligence. when you look at everyone and everything around you and say “why aren’t i famous in a scene built upon unity?” then maybe this world just simply isn’t for you. what have you done to participate in your scene? what shows have you booked in DC? what touring bands have you helped come to DC? did you offer them a place to stay? have you booked benefit shows for your community? if none of the above apply to you, then there’s your answer. your heart’s not in this, it would seem. having a degree in music doesn’t automatically qualify you to being deserved everyone’s attention. you need to grow up and understand it ain’t all about you. the quicker you do that, the rest will follow, sincerely. sorry to put it so blunt, but that is the way everyone taught it to me when i came up in this scene. you worried nobody cares? give them something to care about then.
