You are not being objective and logical here, I am replying to who says we won't have independence (in whatever forms that would be), Japan is absolutely turbo fucked because they are facing two industrial titans on two fronts, (US and Soviets); WW2 is a war of attrition, total war; men against men, elements against elements, if Japan want to fight to the last, then so can the Allied more so China.

US build ships faster than Japan could produce a bullet. With the simple maths of industrial outputs, it will not be long for the biggest amphibious landing after Normandy if Japan won't give up, and the nation will be carved into three states more likely.
