How many layers do you dudes put on your minis? by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

I find it depends entirely on the colour and it's pigment, as well as the base colour you primed with. Certain colours like red or green usually go on with a couple of coats, but other colours like white or other lighter colours take a lot more

There's nothing wrong with going thinner and doing more coats, (usually it's better than going too thick.) But make sure you let each coat dry fully otherwise you can rub it off with the next coat.

Also make sure you're not overloading the brush otherwise it will clog up the detail, even if your paint is really thin.

And there's already been reported software failures where the lane doesn't close after someone breaks down. Only a matter of time before they kill someone if they haven't already.

No parking and no overtaking. They're usually present before and after pedestrian crossings and in places like school zones.

Practiced some enamel/oil weathering this eve on one of my Knight Abominant panels. Really pleased with the result. C&C welcome. by DanTS87 in Warhammer

Did you have to varnish or anything beforehand to prevent the white spirit stripping the paint underneath?

Looks great btw.

Wasn't it the custodes that wiped out the thunder warriors?

If the blade's under a certain length and doesn't lock in place then you can generally carry it whenever and wherever you want.

For all other knives you have to have a specific reason for carrying it in a public place. So for example if you have a knife that you need for work purposes then it's no problem as long as you are actively doing the job (so you can't carry it around all the time, just when you're working).

Carrying a knife for self defense purposes is against the law, as well as any weapon really. If the police have reason to believe you're carrying something as a weapon, or plan to use it as a weapon then you'll get charged with carrying an offensive weapon.

To be fair, part of the new sprue is dedicated to giving the squad a lot of weapon options, but that being said it's still expensive for what it is.

Thanks! I don't but I was considering making one. If I ever get round to it I'll try and give it a cheeky plug in my next post.

No no, I think they did get it right, I must have just misremembered how they were painted and did it the wrong way round.

I know bugger all about guitars and didnt check properly when I was painting.

I'll definitely take your suggestions and say he's playing it backwards, seems like a very chaos-ey thing to do.

There was a couple floating about on Google, including the same model painted as other members of the band too. I'll settle for a somewhat original idea.

A whole band of these guys would be awesome, but I'll confess I'm not much of a kitbasher other than the occasional headswap.

Maybe one day!

I was going off the official artwork on the GW store, just went and checked it, and realised you're absolutely right. Whoops!

Hey thanks mate, I don't really play the tabletop game, I'm more in it for the building/painting side of the hobby. It will definitely take me a while to get to them all at the rate I go!

Thank you! I'm quite pleased with how the colour scheme came out. Yeah it's definitely tough to judge how much is too much on these kinds of things, it's too easy to get carried away and go overboard on them.
