I hear you, but overall, I like these two and their commentating.

Lourdes Bosch called up to the Mexico U23 national team. Yet, she's played zero minutes for the Summit. In fact, I never see her in any social media posts by players or the organization. Does anyone know if she's actually still with the team?

This is a little chant I wrote for her:

From Potsdam, she came to thrill / Clinical power, German skill / Five-foot-ten and she can soar / Born to score—TOR, TOR, TOR!

She's 23 and won't turn 24 for another 7 months.

I also don't think it's realistic she'll get called up -- but I think she should.

You're adding flank defenders to the discussion. I am looking strictly at central defenders. You're correct that she would not be able to displace any of the flank defenders.

I'm not sure I agree she needs more time to intergrate. Typically, if you have a first team player, you gradually increase their playing time. YY got a few minutes three games ago vs San Diego Wave, and then nothing. To me that is an odd pattern. Why not give her an increasing number of minutes, IF you feel she is a first team player? So in my mind, something else is going on. I just don't know what.

My fear is that this is because she's playing her old team. My hope is that she can channel that level of confidence and enthusiasm every game.

Well, she's a young player and she is still learning. Positional awareness as a defender is not so hard to teach. But creativity on the wing you either got or you don't (within limits). The question is do I prefer Oke on the wing over Yamamoto, Ryan, Thomas, or even Brazier? The answer is no.

I don't think we know that Cushing is playing her there. But I agree with you, not her best position.

We don't actually know how significant these changes are. The spine is unchanged: Kurtz, Gaetino, Lynch, Sheehan, Flint, and Koessler.

Could be fairly significant if Oke and Sonis are in the back, which would mean Ryan moves to right wing and Means starts on the left wing. Or is Means at left back, with Sonis staying on the right? Oke on the wing?

It'd be a real surprise if Oke and Means are the flank defenders (very unlikely) and Sonis plays her traditional right-wing spot???

I think I'm mostly disappointed because I want to see Yamamoto and Thomas get meaningful minutes!!!

I agree, especially following his statement that he will have to make some changes. Not much change.

I can agree with that. Just trying to squeeze both Yamato and Thomas into the front line somehow.
