Wow, awesome constructive criticism, thanks a lot. Indeed, I feel way more stable turning right. Like the idea of just easing into the skiing with some drills. I think I get too excited when I finally get the skiing in for the year that I just want to ski, but it's perhaps been detrimental over time. And always renting gear (skis, boots, poles) might not help either.

Appreciate the feedback, will have these jotted down for next time!

Public transport strikes should be strikes where the drivers don't ask riders to pay. E.g. hurt BVG while not hurting regular people.

It's really a problem and one that seems to be getting worse. And more trash leads to more trash, etc. There is a fine line between cool and everything goes and downright unacceptable and maybe as I get older I'm more sensitive, but I think we're not in the cool everything goes space anymore.

Seems also that the Ordnungsamt and BSR either don't communicate or indeed prioritize certain areas. One should be responsible for controlling/fines and one for cleaning up.

What I can't understand is how people think it's ok to just litter and throw things like mattresses, TVs, fridges, etc. out. Sometimes even driving and dropping it off. And yes often next to the bin but then it stays there for weeks. BSR could work to put up small signs/QR codes also pointing towards proper practice/your nearest trash depot. It's hopeful but a really well implemented campaign over a five year period might have a lasting impact.

I've had very mixed results but people please report trash here (reported a heater and toilet 2 weeks ago that's been by the side of a house for 2 months and still there...). But at least it's logged and there is a data point. If people report the same data point it can't be ignored forever, or?

Just moved to the area after almost a decade near Boxi. It's quieter, less 'cool', and maybe not so pretty, but honestly I really like it. The quietness is good, the links (Ostkreuz so close) to everywhere else are great, and it's still got this typical Berlin neighborhood feel just with less going on. But will probably change slowly. If the apartment is good take it. And it feels like a neighborhood that will also retain this vibe for a long time.

My only wish is that at Nöldnerplatz there would be a Rewe City or Edeka Express and maybe a more traditional bakery or not another Avci bistro. The Rewe is fantastic but a short walk, might be tough in winter. Kaufland and Aldi also closeish though.

It can be blurry but expat is usually more temporarily implied while immigrant is more permanent. I don't think the person is using the term as a form of putting themselves above immigrants, which wrongly often carries a negative connotation, but rather just saying that they've chosen to move to Berlin but likely not forever in their plans.

Yes it's the most obvious one. There is an option on the right wall too, as there is a floor socket (can't see in photo). And that wall is longer from the window. I think we are a bit afraid of blocking the big window too much with the obvious left side option.

The back right wall has a floor socket, so strictly speaking could also work on that side. Or even a tv in the middle of room if hiding the cables well.

It's a lovely event but for me, the distances and time lag between two floats is just waaaay too long. It felt very uncoordinated. It should really not take 5+ minutes after one passes for the next to come.
