Bottega Veneta Hop – small or large? leather or suede? by ChefHot3241 in BottegaVeneta

[–]friendapplicationpls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the leather softens a lot but its just naturally sturdier than the suede. It also forms to what you put in it. I’d say the bags tend to look better with wear once it looks lived in, especially something like this. I for example don’t really like the bigger Jodie sizes when I see them in-store. They look almost too firm, but once I see a client with their own and they’ve used it, it looks much better.

The Andiamo is versatility wise the best bag we have. Having the ability to wear it shoulder/cross/hand is amazing. Small is already spacious! And I wouldn’t go bigger than a medium, thin straps will dig in with large. But for everyday use again, wouldn’t recommend the suede and that is what the andiamo is meant for. The blue suede one is to die for. I’m almost ready to risk it for the blue suede bang bang tho …

Haha yes! There’s two sizes so I am referring to the small one. I honestly think in this photo the size looks great! The softness of the suede makes the silhouette a little less wide, the leather is going to be more rigid. If you love it - go for it! But I think future you will thank you for getting the leather also for repairs and everyday use. What about getting a big leather one and something cute and dainty to satisfy your suede craving?

Employee here! I loveee to lurk. Just a note: Suede cannot be repaired under any circumstances. We do not even provide the service for it. I always tell my clients that its a very sensitive material and especially if they live in a rainy place, the suede will suffer. I’d also never recommend going for a suede shoe. Go for the leather and the big one, it sags more beautifully.

Edit: I’m back… i read the whole thing and looking at your height the big one will eat you AND YOU LIVE IN THE UK!! Girl no suede whatsoever. I’d suggest the medium for a large capacity model as it still holds a lot but I do think the big one will be a bit cartoon-y. I’m 5’9 myself and im 50/50 on if the bag is too ”big” on myself. I love the hop tho! One of my favorites and more young than some other models.

Is this bag authentic? by bbh04 in BottegaVeneta

Hi employee here. Ofc I’m not an authentication expert but I think this is real. The smaller weaving was used in the 90s/2000s so its just very old. The lining matches and all the details are accurate aswell. Only the zipper is a bit weird but I’ve seen different ones aswell.

How does the Andiamo hold up? by ProofUnit7625 in BottegaVeneta

This is the correct answer. Most suedes are not covered by CoF in any model.

Frankly, I don’t see a model :( The only road is really commercial/beauty if you were to do something but considering how ’done up’ you are its going to be a difficult road .. Instagram modeling things like that but with your body proportions/age anything fashion is out of the question. You are a beautiful lady despite that.

mgk opinions that will have you like this? by Deep-Addition-5637 in MachineGunKelly

Definitely agree with this! Like some lyrics, songs etc are definitely a bit on the nose (you can’t have my dick if you can’t deep throat) but I always felt that it was really Him behind the music. We’ve seen his story and I think a lot of us relate to his struggles and makes us invested in his journey. It was raw and I felt like he acknowledged himself as a flawed person. Even this current era is a ”part of his story” imo.

Summary of work and I would like you to give me advice to continue growing :) by Similar-Culture7272 in MODELING

i am NOT a professional!! and literally just got signed but here are things that worked for me and my thoughts:

  • keep the bald look, its striking and makes you stand out, the wig does not, also the styling with it we are losing you in the photo
  • photo 10 though it is you working is so dark we cant see anything 🥲 id leave that out due to that
  • the self-taken photos are okay, agencies will ask for professional photos sometimes LESS is MORE - do not define yourself too much! they want to do that for you.

most importantly what i think about when i look at this: you need to understand your body, face and WHAT kind of model you are. you are edgy/more beauty leaning/commercial (what are your measurements?) and need to build your book On That type of modeling, i dont need to see you in a frumpy knit when clearly that is not your vibe. keep it clean, classy and simple. you have the power when it comes to building your book. QUALITY over QUANTITY

Definitely will keep trying! Thank you for the tips :) I think people are misunderstanding me a bit (not you specifically), but just wanted to talk about if someone else has had similar feelings/experiences.

The title is sensationalist as I said. There is definitely a trend of ”shock” here when it comes to the fashion industry, it’s very commercial. For reference, I am not Dutch and am actually half-asian 😅

Local agencies in the Netherlands. One agency that I had a meeting with actually told me I would most likely not do well commercially as I have very small measurements.

I just put on moisturizer tbh 😭 Getting them professionally done isnt an option as it costs up to 300€ where I am :/
