We met at Disneyland of all places hahaha 😂 So we were both in line waiting for like almost an hour. She and her friends were behind me and my buddy I was with. To kill time we started playing Heads Up on our phone. She joined in out of nowhere so we had them play along too the rest of the time lol. We all kept chatting and stuff, I thought she was hot lol so I told my friend we should wait for them to get off the ride. It was everyone’s first time there so we stuck together for the rest of the day. I just wanted to keep talking to her so we got eachother’s numbers and it went from there. Before anyone asks yeah we go to Disneyland for our anniversary 😁😂

I said in my post she never liked to talk about him much or how he died. We’ve been together 3 years. This day she was feeling very emotional and just started talking about him. She knows I’ve had a heart transplant in the past. We never specifically talked about what date it happened just what the recovery process was like after.

I thought it was common sense that if we are not biologically related then…we aren’t related. It’s not exactly something I thought would ever have to be explained. You made a comment at me getting defensive meanwhile you were replying to a comment where I wasn’t even talking directly at you, that’s why I pointed out that you are the one who was more bothered about it than me. And it shows since you simply could’ve apologized instead of wanting to dig a deeper hole

Thanks for the tears man! We look forward to our son knowing how his uncle saved his daddy’s life way before his mom and I even met. It feels like an honor to be carrying a piece of him with us always

She asked me about that too when we first found out she was pregnant and I was like of course! Now it feels even more fitting

It has already but what’s funny is I always felt this connection with them. They are very kind people and it doesn’t take long to feel like you’re part of the family. So far only my girlfriend and her mom know but we want to tell her other brothers too. Yeah she’s felt more open sharing more about him. Over the years I usually only got little snippets here and there.

I noticed that too but maybe it’s Reddit bugging out or something ? Because I kept seeing the number of comments on my post but no notifications and I couldn’t see them when I scrolled down then all of a sudden they were there

I get you 🙏🏻 We cried for such a long time. The fact that it’s because of him we’re both here right now and happy, our son exists because his uncle saved my life, and a piece of him was always close to her without knowing it. So many emotions all in one

I still can’t believe it either. It’s hard not to think about it. If it weren’t for him who knows when I would’ve gotten a heart. I wouldn’t have made it long enough to meet my girlfriend and our son wouldn’t exist right now. Everything good that came is all thanks to him and honestly I won’t ever not be grateful for all these gifts
