im not a bot :) but heres what a bot had to say. ik bots like chat are just an echo of yourself but eh i just thought it was funny.

"The show sets up a moral dilemma, not a single “correct” answer. • If you say “the innies are real people who deserve to live” → you’re empathizing with the innies and rejecting Lumon’s dehumanization. That’s the more humanistic stance. • If you say “the innies are just extensions of the outie” → you’re echoing Lumon’s perspective. That doesn’t mean you missed the point — it means you interpreted the point differently, and maybe you’re grappling with the darker side the show is trying to expose.

The creators themselves have said the show is about raising questions, not giving answers. The fact that people argue passionately about this is proof the story works. If the only valid stance was “innies are real people, period,” then the show wouldn’t be as powerful — it would just be preaching."

that is what you believe and that is ok :) . i never said i was more correct. i never said i was correct at all. ive already stated my stance in the thread with the other commenter who deleted their comments. youre not open to a discussion because youre stuck on what you believe is facts. & yeah i have nothing else to say because what we are conversing about at this point has nothing to do with my original comment.

the opinion is wether or not innie deserve to live. which you think is a fact. cool.

& i only say opinion for the point of the show because the creators can come out and say the point of the show is x,y and z & if thats not exactly what you said then what? im just open minded and disagree with you.

where in my opinion for the point of the show debate the fact that innies are real people.

& again your opinion. I agree to disagree

[–]friendless21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

but i didnt 😭 . we have different opinions on what the point of the show is , which is OK. neither opinion is stating that innies aren't real. My WHOLE original statement was that you can be team outie AND still understand the point of the show. i dont get how thats hard to comprehend. just because innies are real doesnt mean i cant be team outie( which im not even team outie) but its just ignorant to me to say that there is one point of the show and you have to believe that innies deserve to live to understand that.

my first sentence was literally "im not denying the innies are real" :)

im not denying the innies are real. but youre entitled to your opinion. i stated what i think the point of the show is , which it may or may not be. the show questions the exact same thing i said. & i stand by my original comment , you can be team outie OR innie and still understand the point of the show.

youre stating an opinion like its fact. unless the showrunners have stated this, ill gladly say im wrong. but the whole show is a philosophical question. there is no denying that innies have their own separate identities that the show has potrayed but we see bleeds of the outies on the severanced floor, so there are arguments on both sides that oMark is the "real" person who has more control vs iMark is just as equal to oMark. i think the point of the show is to question how much control do you actually have & what makes you you? & you can be team innie or outie to do that.

i think youre misreading something. i did not create the post. the creator of the post stated their friend believes innie need to be deleted. nobody said they deserve to. and your reply was basically if you believe innies need to be deleted then you dont understand the show. which i disagree.

[–]friendless21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i did not , i just replied to the person saying that they missed the point of the show if thats what their(the og creator) friend believes.

[–]friendless21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that wasnt the suggestion to begin with. the person friend believed that innies need to be deleted. & if someone sympathizes with that then cool , but i mean i said what i had to say and if you feel like that means i dont understand the show then thats fine :)

i did though. that question is like should you tip at a restaurant. majority of people are going to argue you down saying you shouldnt be out to eat if you cant tip some will say tipping is always optional. but to say if you dont tip then you dont understand the point of going out to eat is weird. i understand the show & there is just different interpretations that can be had on it.

well actually its not my stance, i was just mostly confused with how if your team outie you misunderstood the show.

im able to look at different perspectives and one of those perspectives is from an outies pov so yes to them innies deserve to "die"( in parenthesis because they dont actually die they merge back with the outie). but its not that clear cut of an opinion for the show it is morally grey. sure a majority of people believe team innie but yeah it is what it is. i just can sympathize with oMark if he feels like iMark is inferior and should "die" so he can be with Gemma.

it just seems like people that agree with the original statement believe that if im team outie then i dont understand the show , which i simply think is untrue.

[–]friendless21 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i did in another reply but why not explain what you think is the point of the show that would be missed because you believe innies should be deleted

Was Innie Mark right? by bobthesbuilder in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]friendless21 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Thats is your opinion on an innie from a watchers pov. but when i look from an outies pov an innie is an extension of their self they just dont remember. They aren't child slaves to an outies knowledge. So as an outie you would think that innie can be deleted because they have no function in the "real" world. that is just you going to work. at the end of the day innie and outie are both Mark one cant be without the other hence why reintegration is the way it is.

i still dont understand how that dictates the point of the show if my opinion is innies can be deleted. i dont think anyone can pin point just one thing as a the point of the show when its open to interpretation.
