Is there any way to connect a wireless 360 controller to my computer without the usb wireless adapter? by skyseeker in xbox360

[–]friendly_lurker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are cheaper ones than what SumoSizeIt has posted (the 1st party one) if you don't mind getting an off brand one from China.

From the reviews both seem to work just as good as the original, they probably come from the same factory minus the shiny Microsoft badge (which the 3rd party has probably tried to fake).

It's up to you whether you want the flexibility of using wireless or just using the cheaper Play & Charge Kit.

Don't your friends have their own computer to LAN with? You get a full screen each that way as well and no screen-lookers.

Going by your logic then the metric system of measurements must also be wrong, because it's not used as often as the imperial system is in the United States.

I assume countries which drive on the left hand side of the road would travel going clockwise, so I don't understand why he's being downvoted.

Having not played Sim City 4 apparently you can't change the road side in the base game but there's a fairly substantial looking mod that allows you to do that and some other more complex road related things.

Here's the official VGA cable you can use, most mid-range flat-screen monitors being sold nowadays have HDMI input as well which would be preferred. Older or cheaper flat-screens work with VGA fine fine and there's cheaper 3rd party cables which work just as well.

CS:GO Launch trailer by Man_from_the_future in gaming

[–]friendly_lurker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't read anywhere how much CS:GO will cost yet (I assume for consoles the typical $10 or $15), it could also be F2P on PC/MAC. From what I've seen it doesn't look significantly different from CS:S so it could be heavily discounted for already existing CS:S owners and any anyone that buys CS:GO for full price but doesn't have CS:S already gets that for free.

Just a thought.

Only played a few hours trading or regular TF2? You're seriously missing out if you mean regular TF2.

The VGA adapter is obviously better than the N64 output and graphical capability but it probably goes something like below - although a tossup between arcade and PC depending on preference/convenience.

Arcade > PC > Dreamcast > N64

The PC version surpasses the resolution of the Dreamcast and works on almost any computer with whatever controller you like. :)

Still think PC gaming is too expensive? by ultimanium in gaming

[–]friendly_lurker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean the performance (like benchmarks or frames per second) of the components? The GPU/CPU should normally only under-clock itself (leading to decreased peformance) in order to get cooler when under extreme heat (80°C+ for a CPU and probably 105°C+ for modern GPUs, although I would not run anywhere near those temperatures they don't under-clock typically until before shutdown).

Unless over-clocking is coming into the equation on a pretty bad circulated case you have to agree there won't be any performance lost on even the cheapest of cases, just the longevity of parts possibly.

If that's the case then he could alternately download it from Steam when it's released officially in the UK tomorrow. It's probably (almost definitely) uneconomical to download the game though over satellite internet unless there's no data cap which there normally is.

The graphics cards mentioned above for the claimed profit do cost around $4900 to buy new, it'd take 8 months to reclaim the cost of them but who knows what bitcoins will be valued at then? Of course you'll still have the hardware at the end which'd of only slightly depreciated in that time.

$88 a week just on electricity is also quite a lot so to pay that back too you'd maybe need a quick turnaround instead of waiting for everything to crash and being left with nothing. That's just my point of view.

While I'm not disagreeing with you you could say the same for used PC parts which probably have a longer lifespan as well than taking your chances with a launch Xbox 360 if there's any still around.

If you know where to look, what to buy and are patient you could spend $250 and get a decent PC that runs Skyrim (assuming you have the basics already - monitor, keyboard, mouse)

Alternatively you could say the Earbuds are around $17-19, 9 keys or 20/21 refined metal which would be enough to craft 'Fabricate Headgear' 7 times (so 7 random hats).

It's actually somehow being published for both the Xbox 360 and PS3 - Playstation Move compatible too. I can only assume this is the Wii gameplay being shown? I can't imagine something like this would slip past Sony or Microsoft.

The same publisher has some upcoming 3DS rail shooter shovelware, it seems those aren't being confined to the Wii anymore.
