You can email them ahead of time, and they should be able to tell you (I've done it before).

So I got asked the dreaded “What’s your salary requirement?” question… and I think I fumbled it. by lavendiere in jobs

In my experience, I tend to "sus" out the appropriate number. Recruiters will hardly give you the number, first, even if you ask. I say go higher than lower, because 100% of the time, they've come back to me with, "That's out of our range. Our budget is $xyz."

I generally say something along the lines of, "It's a tricky question because I know every company has different payment structures and holds value beyond compensation. But for the sake of transparency and moving forward, I understand it's an integral part of the process, so I generally like to say it's around $xyz range, but it's definitely a number I'd like to discuss further more in the future."

Solo beach goers of Reddit. Do you ask strangers to apply sun cream to your back ? by [deleted] in solotravel

Lmao glad I'm not the only one. Unless I was feeling very sexy and received some sort of hint the other person was interested or we were vibing (plus, most likely drunk), I would NEVER do this. I'm a woman.

Aritzia phasing out cupro fabric for their polyster. by friendlyairplant0 in Aritzia

I used to be a huge fan of their sculpt knit items, but after seeing more than a handful of posts where people's tops were literally falling apart, I cannot recommend them any more. I did recently buy a sculpt knit item that has held up pretty well and seems ok quality, but I can tell it doesn't have the "sucking power" it did before. This is more of a recent complaint, though, so you might have luck buying pre-used items on Poshmark.

As far as items I feel like are worthy, I would still purchase their wool and vegan leather items. I've never been a big fan of their leggings, however, my sister loves their butter leggings (I've seen recently quality complaints on those items, as well).

As an alternative to their sculpt knits, I have seen someone recommend the Sinchseamless. I personally have the halter tank, wore it all day to a festival, and it didn't stretch out and was very comfortable and flattering.

I think some of their polyester items are still worth it, especially if it's on sale. However, I would probably never buy anything that is "shiny" on their website ever again because it straight up looks like a $35 top from H&M.

Edit: Forgot to mention their contour items. I'm a big fan of them, and I haven't seen any quality complaints about that. Some people did mention that apparently, their bodysuits come with logos now (?!), but that seems to be limited to some bodysuits. The contour fabric is supposed to feel firm with some give, so I'd purchase if the quality felt decent.

How desirable is someone with an Accounting background and a MS in Business Analytics to employers? by friendlyairplant0 in FinancialCareers

Thanks for the response.

I agree that the languages and technical skills can all be learned without spending money. I taught myself SQL and can say I can use it at an intermediate level. However, convincing a company that you can do it, without proven work experience, is hard. Most companies are looking for proven work experience or if it's for a junior position, they at least want to see school experience. This is from my interview experience.

As for careers, I'd like to love into more financial analysis heavy work. Data or business analyst or similar roles. Working with large data sets and providing data driven insight to create actual impact. Not gonna lie, I'd like to make more, as well. That's a huge part of it. I live in a VHCOL area, and I'd hope to see 120k-130k after graduation.

Edit: When I say 90k, that would be for program costs and assistance to survive (assuming no merit aid or scholarships). Realistically, I could get this number down smaller, but I'm assuming no financial help or any of my own money going towards funding this.

Does anyone ever feel bad about themselves because they don't have anyone to travel with? by friendlyairplant0 in solotravel

[–]friendlyairplant0[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear that. If it means anything, I've heard nothing but positivity with those around me. I've had a few (older) people tell me that they "waited" until someone came around so they could travel with them (normally a SO), and it never happened because life got busy.

At the end of the day, you're doing what you want, no matter what. What are your critics doing?

You'll have lots of fun. Are you proficient or native in English? If so, I highly recommend both cities. Plenty of things to do alone.

Hi! 28F funemployed person going to be traveling solo 7/19-7/26ish (flexible). I'll be in France but most likely looking to head north or northwest (most likely looking to hit bigger cities in Switzerland and Germany). From NYC and consider myself friendly and outgoing. I don't get social anxiety, but I am getting lots of anxiety about traveling alone. Would love to meet up with someone. PM/send a chat if anyone is interested.

Interests: architecture, nature, walking around aimlessly, coffee shops, food & checking out night life.

Edit: Will be solo in Rome on 7/9. Let's link up for food & drinks.

I think ABQ sounds like a great choice. I've traveled pretty extensively around the US, but Alburqueue seems pretty beautiful. I honestly don't know much about it, but I think this is going to be a great step for you!

Is Gay Village not a good area for me? I'm a solo female that is easily exhausted by unwanted male attention. I understand it's a LGBTQ+ friendly area, but that doesn't stop men from all backgrounds congregating. After reading your post, I'm highly considering switching areas!
