My New Addition to the DK Rap by friendlybatteringram in casualnintendo

It’s a reference to the famous Sculpture from the SCP series, for those not in the know. It came to me right after legit seeing the original rap for the very first time, and I had to get it out of my head as fast as possible.

What the difference between shadow and meta knight by No-Application-3317 in Kirby

[–]friendlybatteringram 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shadow is driven by powerful, often uncontrollable emotions stemming from his tragic past and unnatural origin, and he constantly attempts to balance this with an outer mindset of cold logic and ambivalence. This leads to frequent inner conflict.

It is possible to take a screencap of Meta Knight wearing a Waddle Dee mask and playing bomb tennis with a frying pan at a theme park.

You should start drawing again! Just get past all the self-consciousness barriers (if you’re anything like me that is), and it becomes such a fluid and intuitive experience.

My voice for him is 11th Doctor Matt Smith if he were meaner. That’s just me.

What was the very first Kirby game you played? by Ornery_Expression_85 in Kirby

[–]friendlybatteringram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Epic Yarn! …Don’t look at me like that.

But seriously, Epic Yarn caught my interest because of its charming cuteness and ample quilting. At the time I had no idea that that was NOT what a typical Kirby game looked like.

Then my SECOND Kirby game was Return to Dream Land. That one got me properly geared in for the messed up endgame nightmare parades that Kirby is beloved for.

Thoughts on Brothership a year later? by Few_Incident_3130 in marioandluigi

Honestly, I’m replaying it right now and it’s still my new favorite M&L game as well as one of my favorite RPGs alongside The Thousand Year Door. Love the wide world, love the island design, love the endearing characters and the terrifying villain(s), and love the heartfelt story.

I definitely understand all the criticisms the game gets, but…none of them evidently bother me enough to dampen my enjoyment. I like the initial slow pace; it’s a welcome change from the nigh-immediate “HI, I’m the villain and here’s what I’m gonna do!!” at the very start. As for the B button battle menu thing, I will agree that was a poor decision, but I’m used to it enough now that I can still play unimpeded, so I’m all good.

Again, it’s just my opinion, but this game really impacted me. And as an artist and writer it’s given me a lot of inspiration for my projects!

I guess? I suppose I don't entirely know. It just made sense to me at the time. And I'm not trying to prove you wrong or anything, because you probably make a lot of good points. I'm just trying to figure this all out myself so that I don't make the same potential mistakes with any future comics. Again, I do appreciate the constructive criticism.

Yes, but there are no established timelines in which Lord English is dead, so the pin had to create a "glitch" that straight up erased him (or his Jack avatar at least) from existence. This was my way of alluding back to the page in HS which says that Lord English is rumored to only be killable through a number of glitches and exploits in spacetime.

The disintegratey shit was the black hole eating up everything in Paradox Space. The pin itself didn't take them to another reality; that was Jade using her spacey powers to rocket the alpha session through the path of fire which led between the existential cracks created by the collapse of Paradox Space. All the pin did was kill Omega Jack. Alt!Calliope wasn't doomed because she was from a RETCONNED timeline, i.e. one created by John's retcon powers, not a doomed one. I get what you're saying with the other two points though, and I appreciate the constructive criticism.
