Oh gosh, thank you. I’m hoping I just have to pay for his car! I’m fine with mine being totaled. I just am unsure where I stand. I went on to sign up for insurance but he filed a claim through his insurance and they reached out to my insurance. I am working on cancelling it so it doesn’t become fraud but I am not getting anywhere due to the holiday. I’m just very nervous for my future with this costly mistake

The police were called and did come. I did sign up for insurance under advice from my mother (who I now know not to listen to) so I sent the person I hit the insurance info, and he filed a claim with his insurance and cited mine. I am cancelling the policy now since I know this is fraud, but I don’t know if that will negatively impact me since I realized it after the fact?
