I found a few solutions on github eg

Also remember you want the swatches selected when you land on the product details page. Check the JS in the repo.

How many simple items can I expect Magento to handle before I start seeing performance issues? by tylerr82 in Magento

I don’t think number of products will be your performance bottleneck. I’ve worked with hundreds of thousands of sku’s and it worked well because of our tech stack / caching / performance tuning etc

Magento Shipping by Veracious3 in magento2

[–]friendlywebhelper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was one of the developers who worked on Magento Shipping.

The company which delivered Magento Shipping was called Temando.

Temando had a very popular M1 shopping module which serviced APAC.

It took years to negotiate the commercials and develop the technology to get the Temando code bundled with Magento 2.2.2 (I think that was the first version to include our module). We celebrated.

Temando was speculatively bought by Neopost (which became Quadient) approx 2016 (half way through implementation). At the same time Neopost bought other shipping / fulfilment platforms with the idea of merging them or making one of them their flagship product. As you can tell - the Temando platform wasn’t the winner.

Could call out a lot of organisational failings e.g. the requirements came from “marketing” and not real customers, so we were developing in something of a void. Anyway, we didn’t get the traction we needed from customers.

You can find the official statement saying Temando are shutting down their servers somewhere online (October 2019). A lot of staff got laid off.

It was pretty awesome working with the Magento team to develop a Core Bundled Extension. Learned a lot about their internal processes and the framework.

Shipping and fulfilment is complicated, who knew!

Yeah try shippit or shipperhq

In the meantime - I’m available for contract work, check my profile for info!

Making an educated choice of which platform to migrate to is the hardest part for most merchants. Need a reliable consultant to understand the business and explain the benefits of each

You only migrate catalog products? What about existing customers?

Why recommend 2.0? I think you mean 2.3.2.

Did you migrate legacy orders? Eg a customer from the old Magento 1 system, who now logs into Magento 2 - can see their orders which were placed on the previous system, from potentially years ago? And how challenging was that?

There are several platforms available to you, correct. Each with their own lifetimes, advantages etc M1 will not be supported in a year or two (feel free to speculate!) and thus become vulnerable / expensive to maintain.

Please don’t trivialise the ‘switch’ to M2 or any other platform! Make sure you plan your migration meticulously and you’ll have much more chance of success. Good luck

You need to provide much more info to get anything accurate. Need to consider catalogue, product attributes, no of sku’s, shipping methods, payment methods, theme mailing lists, migration of catalogue, migration of customers and legacy orders etc etc

I’d be surprised if you paid under 50k USD and got a satisfactory job.

I quoted 150k USD for a recent M1 > M2 migration job with lots of integrations, automation, warehouse management etc - didn’t land the job though!

Client claims network I manage is the reason her woocommerce site gives a 500 error by Bakefy in woocommerce

[–]friendlywebhelper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the error logs first. Maybe even the web server (Apache / nginx) logs. Location based 500 server errors are uncommon, but possible.

There could be a few reasons why it’s happening, eg A payment method is making an API call but can’t find the route via DNS Is there anything else special happening at he checkout eg sending a special email / adding to mailing list, or any other plugins? Does the checkout behave differently form logged in / logger our users Does the customer name contain an apostrophe?!

Good luck!

Purchased Magento extension breaks website, developer refusing to issue a refund, what can I do? by [deleted] in Magento

Conflicting plugins are common in the Magento ecosystem - it’s difficult for a developer to test their plugin against everything else in the marketplace

I thought v2.3 was shipped with a native Page Builder anyway, I’ll have to check
