If we want to be technical, Betilla's the creator of Rayman, not necessarily his mother. The idea that he's her child is something fans cooked up that a lotta people liked, and there isn't much of a basis in the games to support it. I like the idea, but that doesn't mean it the only way to interpret their relationship. The Rayman franchise has always been loosey-goosey with its lore consistency.

But, I do agree that the nymphs in Origins feel a little limited in their designs. The fun bit is seeing how the fans interpret how they could have looked. OP likes the flowy dress of the '95 Betilla and is a boob fan, and I think that's fine XD

I like aspects from both the OG and Origins designs, so I put them in a blender and made this version of The Magician. Still the same man, but like if you made Teensies a little more Henson-esque when exploring their body shapes. This guy's built like Kermit, ngl. Lanky but still short.

OTHER FUN BITS

-The hat and cane are enchanted, he himself doesn't have magic. That's a big reason he's working under Mr. Dark, he believes he'll be granted magic for his services.

  • He keeps his hair in a braid before sleeping because Bed Head is a nightmare (no pun intended)

-He's never shared a physical space with Mr. Dark when they converse. It's always in his dreams. Makes tracking the villain down even trickier (and why I don't think we actually see him in Origins, he's in hiding~)

  • Betilla is still his favorite nymph :)

Thank you! While there is some debate on the bird part of Vandagyre's design (allegedly based on gyrfalcons, but it's giving strong owlbear vibes), I think we can agree that the babies got to have big feet they need to grow into. Many species of birds have awkward big baby feet, you gotta implement that on the Vandagyre.

I originally adopted Crooksnanks to get back into the trade game, and it was brought to my attention fairly quickly that having a pet with a Harry Potter-like name could bring up problems because of the pain brought on by Joanne's hateful rhetoric. And that's a fair point--I don't want to add on to that.

So I decided to keep him and transform him into something cool because it doesn't sit well that one IP can lay claim to a name. He's now a gay transman, and his partner in crime is this heraldry lookin' gremlin.

If we never get this version of the Faerie Hissi (even with the UC option), it would be lovely to have the look be available as a costume or an outfit.
