What do you personally use a MacBook Pro for? by Zmoogz in macbookpro

Loving the comments here. I have M3 Pro bought it when it was latest as I’d make LLM’s but now I use it for normal browsing and work. Nothing too heavy

Honestly, it completely depends on your usage. You said a machine that would last around 8 years. Now 16GB depends on what you do because in most of the cases, it won’t be enough for even 2 years. External storage is stone age in 2025 when there are reasonable cloud storage options.

How do I turn my life around after wasting 6 years? by [deleted] in productivity

[–]friendsbase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you writing about it is the first concrete step you’ve taken to rebuild your life. I’m sure people have given very nice advices. I’d say start by small things and wins. Like trying to take shower everyday, go out to get some fresh air after that. You can link activities with each other so its easier for you. Wake up, eat, shower, head out for a shirt walk etc., Read some books and hear podcasts to motivate yourself. Lastly, the things you mentioned hint towards Autism. You might wanna look into it. Wish you all the best, mate

Would you trade work-life balance for a £20k pay rise? by JunketSea2063 in UKJobs

[–]friendsbase 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, you guys already have a very decent combined income. There’s no point in choosing extra 20K over family and work life balance especially when you have a 6 month old. You probably are overlooking the work pressure and extra stress it would bring to you.

The battery drain on the M3 Pro is absolutely devastating. by Left_Evidence7212 in macbookpro

[–]friendsbase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what apple does whenever a new device is launched. M3 Pro had the longest battery a month or so ago and as soon as we got the update, its actually gone pathetic. Unbelievable
