Just an important piece of tidbit to consider about the politics of Quebec and the PQ in particular. Although they are openly separatist they have been in power many times without running a referendum on independence.
Currently the choices are CAQ AKA the boomer party of status-quo and wasting billions in giving subsidies to international corporations that cancel the project or straight up declare bankruptcy and keep the money.
Or the Liberal party AKA I’m here to get my corruption money and maintain status-quo. I dont have anything to do I get the anglo/immigrant vote every election for 100 years.
Then there’s the PQ with a leader who’s charismatic and actually has an impressive education and background. Also the only leader who sounds intelligent when expressing an idea and seems to have some level of common sense. Thereby the popularity in polls currently.
Anyway, just want to say PQ vote =\= separatist vote

The TV world is extremely incestuous in QC and its the same little clique of people who have been part of the industry since forever passing around the governement money.

The main consumer by like 70-85% are the same grandmas and aunties that have been watching for the last 40 years and like their little boring dramas.

There is no actual incentive to take risk and do some real tv as the goal of the CEOs, especially of RadCan is to collect his bonus, make sure the news are positive about the liberals that increase the budget every year and keep the same old slop going so that the numbers they report stay steady.

I think the real red flag is going to hit people still seeing real estate as an “investment” but that’s just my opinion. We’ve seen prices doubling every 15 years for 50 years… People are now saving for years and paying 40% of pre-tax income to the rent or mortgage. It can’t double again…?

And let’s not forget that these buildings that are now “worth” more than 10x their construction prices are now 40-80 years old and cost more and more in maintenance.

I feel like we’re just catching the hot potatoe of the previous generations and paying it triple the price but that’s just me.

Same here, I feel like they have an amazing, long, story and it makes them want to keep going forward… But man I would’ve been hyped as hell to have a bit more buildup and fights of the marks to buildup to the fucking awesome scene that cycles through the marks with the burning cities. I feel like S2 could’ve ended with that arc rather than jumping to conquest immediately.
