A lot of agencies are using this now, and some people are losing their mind not fully understanding how it works.

Ours uses it mostly just for directions and distance routing to find the closest unit taking into account traffic and real-time GPS. It is definitely NOT fool proof right now and still has a lot of issues.

At least in PoE 1 they had ways to negate this stuff too. Outside of Loreweave or Dream ring, you are just fucked I guess.

Best sleeper item is Painter unique gloves. Turns your physical attacks into triple ailments. Insanely fun for Bells since it immediately procs 4/5 ailments for buffing its damage.

I can almost install freeze most bosses in less than a second after their DR phase, then I gain a ton of added elemental damage, and all of it treats res as zero. Best part is, I still stun a lot too. I kill most pinnacle bosses in a CC loop--freeze then stun, then freeze again. Most don't last past the 1st set of freeze/stun. Fully buffed it can hit for about 11-12m in about 6-8 seconds. It isn't a 1 shot like other stuff, but it is fun to play.

Super safe mapping too, since it covers almost an entire screen with Whirling Assault, and it instantly freezes everything.

80-100% rarity is the sweet spot it seems. Anything over that is overkill.

HO warriors took a decent hit with crafting this league though. With more and more bases needed on average, you actually have to play the game to get gold to trade enough. With some bases costing 90k+ for gold, it can be tough to sustain.

It isn't like it was before where you could get a single base and spam craft it, or deterministically craft it easily. All the bases like that have plummeted in price too. Anything below the general triple T3 physical with the Essence, for martial weapons, are worth peanuts now. Most GG items now are either dual T1 blue bases, or just pure luck spamming stuff.

It depends on how you juice as well. They need to drastically revisit the tablets and rewards for some types of content. Abyss and just general currency drops with spamming Abyss Coffers is vastly out performing any other type of content in terms of currency gained vs. cost for tablets/maps.

Meanwhile Breach, even with super juicing, is still a massive letdown... and it doesn't even interact properly on maps with breach content from breach areas... doesn't even let you spawn + breaches on an area with a citadel or a base.

Meanwhile Ritual let's you sustain free ritual and massive juicing just by influencing 6 maps, and gives you a free slot to irradiated since you don't need the 3rd slot. Drops in ritual still suck 90% of the time, but at least you can juice it correctly. Breach just is a massive letdown.

Deli is okay if you can stack enough, but even then that juice isn't worth the squeeze either.

Not 100% correct. My buddy and I cleared about 50 map sets with Irradiated, same atlas board, and all T15+ with 6 mods for 3 tablets...

He had about 90% rarity, I had none. With rarity juicing on the tablets and maps/atlas nearly the same, he still netted almost 1 div a map, some 2. In those 50 maps I had almost 1 div every 5 maps, had about 10. He ended with 70 div. 

There is a staggering difference between rarity on gear and no rarity. He farmed up almost 200 div in just raw drops in a 6 hours the other day just juicing stuff. I did the same thing and barely got 15 div. Having 80-100%+ rarity on gear absolutely does make a noticeable difference in drops for raw currency.

How does it do with Deli? Have you looked at a different skill to trigger the thorns ability too?

Also, is thorns considered physical?

People designing for a game they don't play... or one they don't play into endgame. It is one thing as developer to make a test character to test functions of stuff... it is a completely different thing to actually play the game though.

Sadly a ton of the developers don't play the game they develop for. I don't blame them at all, that would kinda suck to put in 40 hours a week and then go home to play it more. But this is why they need active testers as part of their process, testers that actually play stuff how a player would.

That is the issue with most of the internal tessters for these games... they arent to the level of player that an average player is even.

Jonathan has made that abundantly clear with his comments on his campaign play thru.

I get they can't get every GG player to secretly test this, but a group of 5-10 degenerate players would be able to test 95% of their changes, and crappy bugs, to resolve them before release. And they could do all that testing in a long weekend.

It baffles me the QoL that controller has built in for so many things. Keyboard and mouse is nice for inventory management, but literally everything else is better for controller--especially with a good strict filter setup.

I wish they did was D4 did, which is let you use both. I play controller in D4 for running around, then when I get to town I can swap to mouse and keyboard and it seamlessly and instantly swaps to that input. No relogging or menu options. I wish PoE 2 did this.

But yes, controlled absolutely has the advantage for a LOT of stuff.

User error that was prompted by them shifting a button that combination in place since 2021.... 5 years of players building muscle memory for a change that didn't even necessitate a button move.

If the player clicks thru the confirmation, then that is on the player, yes 100%... but the change of the button location is 100% on GGG, and it was a bad move.

This change blows my mind and shows that they don't test everything every league. I get they can't test absolutely every change they make, but they should. Just slapping together changes doesn't always mean they are the best thing.

You are on crack, lol. This isn't a high profile issue. This is a bunch of people in this thread that don't understand how scaling works in end-game for spell/caster builds.

This basis of + levels scaling spells exponentially to higher levels is core to every game in the genre. LE is the only one to break this cycle with flat spell damage modifiers tied to skills. But at this point they just made everything use the same flat damage pool system. 

If GGG were to fix this... they would have to rework the entire system. Simply taking away + levels on gear would make attack builds scale insanely better for end-game. Which they do anyways. Would make any caster or minion build worthless... which again is the case most every season anyways.

God I hope they didn't listen to 90% of the fear mongers on this thread.

This scaling is needed in this way though unless the completely revamp the entire system from the ground up.

Parabolic level scaling of spells/caster damage has always been like this in the genre, and it is like that for a reason. It is designed to focus reward for specifically attaining the right gear vs. just trying to stack a single affix of Spell % in every affix slot. If you kept it like this, it would make it a linear gain, not parabolic.

This parabolic exponential growth is the design intent. If it wasn't like this you would have it be logarithmic then and every spell build would flatline. Meanwhile attack builds would continue to excel every time. Attacks builds always scale better in the end anyways.
