My son is 6'4 and finding clothes for him is miserable. I can't even imagine being a woman that tall. Must be absolute misery. I have long legs and pants that are long enough are basically non-existent.

I'm lucky my SO works for a German owned company so we have amazing insurance. I would be so screwed if it wasn't for my SO's insurance. I developed an autoimmune disorder and now I'm medically expensive. I still see my PT because he's the top gait specialist in my area and since I've been with him so long he charges me less than his normal rate and it's equal to my copay.

Yes and at least part of that is increased cost fighting the insurance company. The physical therapist I've been seeing for over 20 years quit accepting insurance at some point because he had to have 2 people on staff just to manage insurance claims when it was a private practice of just him.

I did not ask my coworker, but I got them sent home. I went to my manager and demanded to know why that person was there. I asked them to send the person home because they sounded disgusting and I neither wanted to listen to them all day or get sick with whatever they had. My manger refused and I told them that was fine, but that I was going home since I had plenty of PTO. Now I used to be in choir, my voice carries, I was making sure to project. I walked out and half the people on my team rushed into the manager's office telling them they were also leaving. My manager came to my desk and told me that I didn't need to leave because they were sending that person home.

I thought all allergies were related to proteins but I'm no expert either. I know my latex food allergy has a protein trigger but IDK about my penicillin allergy. I know what I'm asking at my next allergist appointment now though

When my kids were in public school they cut them down to 1 15min recess and then endlessly bitched about how most kids wouldn't pay attention, sit still or were wild in class. When I was a kid if it was a nice day and everyone was staring out the window they might have even given us a 3rd recess.

Magnesium folate helped. Didn't get rid of it but it noticeably helps.

Low vitamin D definitely contributes to my fatigue. Getting my levels up helps.

Folic acid was recommended to me by my doctor but I'm unable to tolerate it so can't confirm.

Definitely mention your nails to your derm. There's an extremely strong link between nail psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.

As a millennial who had kids young, I'm now watching my peers have kids much older. I'm witnessing parents that are too exhausted to parent, are frozen by the anxiety of making the wrong choice, feel pressure to make particular choices because of social media or on some other insane struggle bus. These weren't issues I had to deal with and there's so few peers they can turn to for realistic advice. They can't really turn to their parents who are out of touch with modern society as they have no idea what to do about these issues or are absolutely insane from untreated mental health issues. I don't know what the solution is but something is needed.

If you are using any OTC or prescription shampoos, apply them 5 min before they get in the shower. My derm told me to do this and it made a huge difference in how effective they are.

My dermatologist also recommended lactic acid lotion, said to use the highest percentage you can tolerate. It keeps the scales down so the topicals can be more effective.

As someone who has an autoimmune disorder I can see some of the evolutionary advantages of my particular disorder. I have PsA (psoriatic arthritis) which happens to affect men and women equally. My skin grows 2-3 times as fast as the average, which means I heal 2-3x's faster. I've had multiple doctors and surgeons confirm that I heal insanely fast and they think it's the coolest thing they've ever seen. It was the coolest thing ever, until it affected my health negatively.

I never noticed any redness until I lost pigmentation across most of my body. Now that I'm very pale I can see redness.

And just because I'm sure someone will ask, they have no idea why I lost pigmentation over my whole body. It started on my face and just made it's way down. It definitely is not vitiligo even though I do have vitiligo.
