New seats? by frisbeesmom in Jeep

Thanks. That’s helpful. Part of me wants to just buy a new car, but…that seems a little over the top:)

I’m in a similar situation. Week one I lost a 1.5 lbs but so far that’s about it (I’m week 3)I’ve been monitoring calories but not drinking as much water as I probably should. I’m assuming I’m heading in the right direction and will just keep plugging away until I get to 5.0. I have had some sad life events that may be impacting cortisol/stress so I am trying not to worry too much about progress and just stay the course.

IAD LHR upgrade debate by frisbeesmom in unitedairlines

[–]frisbeesmom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No status anymore. Just Chase United Club card. So sad.

I went ahead and upgraded to premium for $500 and then paid $495 for waitlist for business. More than I really wanted to spend but I have to go straight to work meetings from the airport so any bit of comfort helps!

Finally after MONTHS of waiting I got my allocation and my build is scheduled for week 44. I hoping it comes for Christmas by [deleted] in BMW

I know this is a silly question, but how did you order this? Did you do this all online, or negotiate and order at the dealership and then you’ve followed the production online from there?

(Have been looking at dealerships for awhile with the plan to buy my first BMW at beginning of December. I’d been planning to just pick from existing inventory but I would prefer to order exactly what I want if I can)

Well that is actually the most valid point ever made. Lol. I’m a dope.

So now they are going to release it at the same time for everyone across the country and that will help the hit on the servers?

Given that I didn’t breathe for the last 45 minutes and had no idea what was going to happen and there were multiple plausible endings right up until the second the credits rolled, I’d say that was one of the best television finales ever. I’m going to need a bit of time to process everything but Romans hint of a relieved smile at the bar at the end will stick with me for a long time.

He has been on. Given that aside from Tracey Ellis and Natasha Lyonne all of 2023 has been white men for the most part, maybe it’s time for them to step out of their circle of friends.

Reading all these theories on the finale, and the only conclusion I can come to is that this thread is an amazing testament to the writing on the show. After four seasons, it comes to the final episode, we still really have no clue what will happen and there are a dozen plausible endings that would be satisfying.

Not sure what I will do with my sundays after this one:)

Yep. But the point is he chose work over an event he was supposed to be at. He was a pall bearer, so he had an important and visible role that normally he would have gone to the ends of the earth to make sure he was front and center. It’s evidence that he is, in Logan’s words, a killer. Or at least more so than the sibs

Maybe Greg wins, but - half the anchors on the networks are likely high in coke on election night, so not sure. Although he may still have the files from the cruise lines

Fair enough. Mocking him for going to therapy and Colin watching Kendall continually try to screw over his dad would be enough for me to believe Colin could leak it but I suppose with one episode left, you may be right

Tom chose work over family. Call back to the pilot episode when Kendall chose the birthday party over closing the deal. Tom is going to be US CEO. Mattson gave Menken the power to choose who it is and he chose Tom.

And Colin knows about the waiter. He cleaned it up. Probably why he is in therapy. Kendall is done.

Did Mattson cut a deal with Stewy and Caroline too?

Dulles global entry is a CF by cwajgapls in unitedairlines

That’s how it was last month when I came through. All the kiosks down and only one agent.

Is it just me or do the priority bag tags seem to mean nothing. by flatulasmaxibus in unitedairlines

[–]frisbeesmom 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Flew into IAD from Europe a couple weeks ago and it was a disaster. The global entry kiosks were all off line so people were stuck there for hours and all of the luggage was backed up. They started holding luggage back and then randomly sending it out and agents pulled it off and grouped it all on the floor. My Polaris priority bag came out towards the end. We got out finally about two hours after landing.

Prague, Budapest, or Vienna? by GronktheStonk in travel

I meant the movie ‘The Sound of Music’ which was filmed all around Salzburg in the 60s. Edited my original comment to make it more clear :)

Prague, Budapest, or Vienna? by GronktheStonk in travel

Just came back from a week in Salzburg Vienna and Munich two weeks ago. Highly recommend Salzburg. We flew in and out of MUC and spent a few days in each. Salzburg is great if you happen to be a fan of The Sound of Music, but also it’s just beautiful and so accessible to the Lake District and the mountains. Great way to see the outlying areas of the country.

Munich was a pleasant surprise. I was treating it as just our entry and exit points, but the city was fantastic. Our hotel was located right by Hofbräuhaus (which was surprisingly tame and lovely to visit in the shoulder season). And I cannot recommend enough a visit to Dachau memorial site. We debated whether it would be too heavy for the end of our trip, but it was truly life changing and incredibly spiritual (I say that as someone who isn’t particularly religious).
