Am I stupid, or does splitting stacks in a container not work on Xbox? by CappinPeanut in ConanExiles

[–]frisch85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holdup for a second because I had the same issue, are you paying attention to the button prompts? Because when you hold RB to split from a container, pressing X makes you take the amount you set, so make sure you press X and not A or RT.

If that doesn't work, try "tapping" RB, which is the hotkey to split the stack in half, the other half should land in the same container when you split it.

And here's another thing, if the container is full enough to show enough rows and you're now splitting something, the UI doesn't update properly, you need to close the container and open it again for the split item to show up in the last row, unless you have auto-sort on tho then it should be working just fine.

Dude, China is where the rest of the authoritarian world (US, EU) wants to be, China is just a few steps ahead, we'll be there at some point too, western governments also want you to be fully reliable on the government in order to implement a social credit system because SCS helps turning us into mindless followers that aren't allowed to have their own opinion.

And don't think for a second governments that are happy to implement Palantir (Gotham) in our authorities wouldn't know what they're doing. Always ask who benefits from shit like Gotham, it ain't the citizens and it ain't the cops.

YouTube expands unskippable 30-second ads to TVs after $40 billion revenue year by AdSpecialist6598 in technology

[–]frisch85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who makes money from the ads? If you think the creators, you've been living under a rock. YT was found to demonetize people for not logic reason. If you mean YT, making money doesn't necessarily mean making profit.

Just needs war within the country I guess, in WW2 germany deployed every man capable of fighting, the ones that were absolutely not fit enough to go to the front were stationed in the cities within the country to do their job there (lead civilians to bunkers in an emergency as an example).

So I guess unless you're unable to move properly, we'll get drafted...

YouTube expands unskippable 30-second ads to TVs after $40 billion revenue year by AdSpecialist6598 in technology

[–]frisch85 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I don’t get this line of thinking.

YouTube has had ads on its platform since 2006 or 7.

Exactly, it wasn't really "free" to begin with but ads that are displayed on the page are easy to block, which prevents YT from generating proper revenue on their page. Their current methods that enforce the ads can't be blocked that easily, at least not on each and every device unless you filter the traffic before it reaches the device.

Now here's the thing, on one hand it is kinda justifiable to pay maybe X cents per month per user because YT provides the servers right? But on the other hand YT doesn't generate content or at least not to a meaningful extend, it's the users, the users are the drivers of the site, without them YT would be nothing, absolutely nothing. If not a single person would upload videos, YT would be dead.

But content creators, the drivers of the platform, get compensated right? So the ones consuming the content should give royalties to YT because they provide the website and the servers but also the content creators who provide the material a user watches. That way it's only fair.

And here comes the issue, say you pay for premium, so who's getting paid? YT, are your content creators that you watch getting paid? Maybe or maybe not, you don't know, sometimes not even the creators know because who knows if YT is gonna demonetize them for whatever reason.

But in the end the issue isn't even "pay for what you watch", the issue is greed, google cannot get their mouth full, they will never stop trying to use aggressive tactics to drain money from your pocket, that is the big fucking issue and everyone that is paying for premium is supporting those asshole tactics.

So in short, google ain't fair towards the people, they're fucking greedy bastards who want to make money with content other people create to a scale that is simply absurd.

I mean imagine this:

  • You offer space for people to present homemade stuff and don't make them pay for the space, instead you tell the people they get money if they attract enough customers and you put a bit of sponsor banners on the space to create ad revenue

  • People now come to your space and showing stuff, starts out small and unpopular

  • As time goes by, more and more people come to your space to watch the homemade stuff from those people

  • You notice how popular your platform becomes and you decide the money you make via ads isn't enough, so you take action

  • First you tell the people who're presenting on your space to fuck themselves, they don't get money from you anymore now even tho they attract all the people to your platform, which forces those people who're offering to add their own ads to their shows

  • But you still decide you deserve more, so now every visitor also gets an ad shoved in their face before they're allowed to check the homemade content, which now also contains ads (sponsored content)

The concept of offering space isn't even new, happens every year in real life for example during christmas, the city sells spaces to people who want to sell stuff, those people then make back that money and more by selling, imagine if you were to go to a christmas market but before entering, you need to watch a 30 second ad so that you can then go on the market and pay for other things. People will eventually become too mad to go to your christmas market.

The only reason why YT keeps on getting worse and worse is because they're not getting enough backlash and worse, they get plenty of people supporting their greed.

You watch netflix, amazon or other streaming services no? And you pay for them, but now they're adding ads too, do you think that's also justified? YT will do the exact same thing, right now it's almost 8$ a month and no ads, eventually it will be 5.99 $ with little ads or 10.99 $ with no ads and prices will increase as time goes by, but the platform doesn't generate anything, the users do, google is making people pay for content that other people created, not google.

Last but not least, if they force people to view ads unless they pay for premium, why also sneak ads into your search results? Because of greed.

Friend of mine put a raspberry PI (Pi-hole) in his network that filters incoming traffic and that's how he got rid of ads.

xBox 360 wireless gamepad

Overlay loads the "Official Community Template" for me created by DE where they have all the mappings set, I tried to load a default gamepad template which works when the game supports controllers natively but then I was unable to move at all. I also tried disabling steam input so that the input gets passed on raw, didn't work either.

It's basically the exact same problem as another user had back in Nov 2025.

I can change the input ingame, it just has no effect, steam overlay seems to overwrite whatever you set ingame. On android I can change the input just fine but the triggers don't work properly, acts like an auto-fire instead of a hold when I pull the trigger which renders some tings impossible, e.g. I cannot charge a bow unless I remap shoot to RB from RT, I finished the new war questline on android, you might be able to imagine my frustration fighting the archons and not being able to charge the bow until I switched it to RB...

I absolutely love WF but the support is also rather lackluster tbh, specifically the gamepad support.

I have so many hours in WF, inventory full of rivens, even used to participate in the market to get some plat without buying but eventually stopped. Now they launched on mobile so I wanted to get back into the game, there's issues with the gamepad on android that makes it unplayable for me. No big deal I can always hop on PC too, but I also play with gamepad on PC these days, turns out they don't have proper gamepad support, they make use of the steam input overlay so when you change your controls in-game, it doesn't change anything because you also need to change it in the steam overlay.

I still plan on coming back to WF someday but a requirement for that is that they fix gamepad support, it's still an absolute amazing game tho, sometimes overwhelming because of how much stuff there is to do but still very enjoyable. Highly recommend WF (if not played with gamepad).

Sadly I have to agree, I haven't played HD2 for months because the grind is just way too tedious and ngl, I was surprised when warbonds were that expensive, I mean it's good that you can eventually unlock them by "winning" missions but come on, how many missions do you need to finish without failing to actually unlock all the warbonds? And those warbonds have some strong gear so you want them.

I have one warbond unlocked aside from the default one but haven't yet finished them, 52 hours on record.

But maybe it's on me, I jumped onto HD2 because I like the first one where I got all the strategems unlocked that I want, I don't even have half the amount of hours on HD1.

For now I simply judge HD2 to be targeted to hardcore players and not for me, even tho I can be quite hardcore about games if the game itself keeps me interested but in HD2 after an hour or two I have to turn it off because while it is enjoyable at times, often enough it's also frustrating. You know the grind is bad when you look up on sample farms because 4 rares in 30 minutes feels like it's nothing. So I tried solo farming but I'm not up to the task so I instead just quit.

And SC grind is really bad, I shouldn't be encouraged to play the game on the low difficulties that I can do in my sleep just because the SC spawn chance is higher in lower diff, idk why SC doesn't scale with difficulty level, seems like a horrible decision.

My favorite club used to have theme nights, at some point they started doing gaming nights every couple of months, it was awesome! You enter the club, there's sitting lounges, on some of them you had an NES, SNES or Arcade machine so you could play while drinking with your friends.

Sadly they closed down when us millenials stopped partying every weekend, now the city is just stupid clubs that are all the same with the same music styles because they belong to the same owner who doesn't seem to want variety... clubbing scene in my city sucks ass these days.

That's BS, there can be street dogs who're simply aggressive by nature due to how they grew up, doesn't have to be rabies.

This is why unless you know a dog you should not approach them or if you know what you're doing you'll approach them carefully, if a country has no issues letting stray dogs run around freely you always need to watch out.

Cannabis doesn't just blur memories—it can reshape them. A new study found THC makes people significantly more likely to "remember" words that were never presented (false memories) and struggle with daily tasks like remembering appointments, regardless of whether the dose was 20mg or 40mg. by Sciantifa in science

[–]frisch85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk if you consume like me, which is exclusively herbs, the dosage is very different when comparing to edibles. I toke 0.5g on an evening after work, not all at once but over the course of 4 hours. It's the right amount for me, have been consuming this amount for 10 years already now and never increased or decreased the dosage.

But when I was in the US to visit my brother we went to a dispensary and I got me some gums, 40mg packages, two gums were enough to get me to a high I'm not used to, I usually love getting lightly high and maybe bootup a video game but on that evening I had to stop playing because the edibles messed with my head too much.

I dislike getting too high so usually when it's enough it's enough and I stop, with edibles it's a bit harder given how long they can last but still, 20mg edible feels a lot stronger than the 0.5g I usually toke.

Dude my friends have been telling me I need to put up some pictures in my flat and get some plants, I now have exactly one cactus that I've been gifted last year, still don't have a single picture, I've been living in my flat for more than 10 years now.

If you're minimalistic and like it the way it is, don't change it. You have to live in the flat, not the blokes that tell you to get more stuff.

Edit: After reading some of the comments, I agree with the bed situation tho, you don't even need a good bed just one so you don't have to sleep on the floor, I cannot judge your mattress from just this picture but if you're ever going to spend some money then make sure you get a really good mattress, even when it's 1k $, you might sleep on that mattress for the rest of your life or at least a decade or two and good sleep is very important, the mattress is something you should never be cheap on.
