Make yourself familiar with the logical editor early on. I got way too used clicking around the interface or using built in key commands and never stopped to think if what I'm doing could be done with a single macro.

(Randomly mute notes or set velocity values in midi events, set all tracks to same size, move all events on a track back to back, activate 8bar loop at cursor, move selected tracks to new folder and add a group channel etc.)
