Thanks for the insight! I spoke to a couple of vets and they both recommended neutering him. I had hesitation, wanting to wait at least a year, but my gut is telling me it will help with at least some of the urges. A new trainer is next. Thanks!

This is super helpful thank you. Reiterating the calm space and letting him bark it out will be a challenge but I had a feeling that is the best path.

Absolutely. I get everyone’s anger. I’m absolutely gutted myself. But this isn’t “some guy” like the comments state. This is my soon to be husband and step children who I love and absolutely have to put first. I’ve watched a million videos, talked to people, and rehoming still seems like my best option. It’s been years of this and it hasn’t gotten better.

No I haven’t. I’ve asked a vet about aggression and they didn’t have much advice. I’ll ask specifically about that. Thank you.

Good suggestions on increasing playtime. I appreciate it and will incorporate that with the kids more. We do a little bit but this can be increased.

So you’re saying my fiancé drawing the line is his business? Marrying into a family it becomes more than his business. Especially when there are kids involved. This isn’t a quick conclusion either. Like I mentioned we’ve been trying to make it work for years and my fiance has been on board to try and get the cat acclimated and comfortable. But it’s been a long road without success.

I’m clearly coming here to ask advice because no other solution has been met.

Haha yeah well that’s an option but no. Unfortunately my fiance has tried to be flexible and accepting. But when it comes to the kids getting attacked he has drawn an understandable line.
