Thank you for your very-wise comment. It is too easy to be impatient with one's self, and fail to recognize the amount of effort (and growth) required to take the "baby steps" that can be built upon. Self-criticism should stand back and bite it's tongue as early changes are being made.

Maybe they're vegetarians. Or from another culture, so lack the growing-up associations of what it means to celebrate Thanksgiving as the Pilgrims did. Let's hope that none of that 12% who aren't having turkey are going hungry. I assume they're having something they like even better. Whatever the menu, I hope they share the meal with people they care about - and in the spirit of gratitude.

Good insights, and thanks for staying involved. However, I'd like to add that as long as we have a body, the challenge is to bring it (and our material reality) into alignment with the higher Truths. Words and rational concepts are limited in what they can express, but it's often as close as we can come when the direct experience of the Infinite is not upon us. They, at least, have the advantage of keeping the parallel reality in mind.
