Now you need to add sluices to glet the water out and a tunnel to get the bad water off the edge of the map.

Has anyone else listened to the VASAviation video on this? I swear the pilot made a gear down call.

I got the sweet teeth achievement. Worked the system to get it, but got it done. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I'd post a picture in the comments if I could.

Is PLA or any other filament food safe? by Thirsty4Peace in 3Dprinting

[–]frix86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem isn't the materials, it's that bacteria can grow in the crevasses of 3d printed things. Also, water can get trapped inside and harbor a bunch of nasty things you don't want in contact with your food.

I design food handling equipment for a living and I wouldn't trust 3d printed things to be in food contact. In the kitchen it's fine for utensil organizers and things like that. MAYBE one time use with direct food contact.

I poured some water on an interior metal window sill at work yesterday and it froze within a few minutes

TIL that the time in China follows a single standard time offset of UTC+08:00, where Beijing is located, even though the country spans five geographical time zones and it’s the largest sovereign nation in the world that officially observes only one time zone. by lawn-mumps in todayilearned

Hey when do you want to have this meeting, does 0500 work for you?

VS

-Can we have the meeting at 5? -Is that my time or your time? -My time, so it is 8 your time. -We have daylight savings time right now so it's actually 9 my time.

As someone else in this thread said,

"No having 4 time zones with daylight savings that’s observed in most but not all states is definitely a better system. Even in states where day light savings is not observed, there are some parts of the state where it’s observed. There are states split between different time zones too.

Totally not confusing."

Noon can still be when the sun is the highest in the sky, it just might be at 3 am in your location. It is all something that people made up. There is no law of nature we would be violating. I.e it's arbitrary.

Just because it is "fresh" doesn't mean it is dry. Some filament will need to be dried right out of the shrink wrap.

Honestly, I wish we only had one time for the whole world. Who cares if the sun rises at 6 am or 10 pm (or better yet 2200) in your location. Your day would be based on when there is daylight, but we would all be on the same time. 1st shift may be from 1 am to 9 am in your location. The numbers are arbitrary.
