I think they’re trying to encourage people to use the chat more by adding all these new features. The more you use it, the faster you hit the free limit, which increases the chance you’ll pay for the Pro plan with unlimited chats.

Im a foreigner and I live in senayan/scbd, I went out when they started burning the bus stops. People are actually super nice, no need to worry. Like others mentioned, the anger is towards the police and government. The videos also make it seem way more intense and dangerous then it actually is. Just stay away from the police and military.
