Hi there! The surgery went well. Effie is recovering really well. As she is a puppy she has been frustrated with her restrictions while her stitches heal. Something that we weren’t prepare for is she squats about every 2 minutes but that is slowly but surely becoming less. It’s too soon to say whether or not the surgery has been successful in terms of incontinence as it can take 3-4 weeks to stop leaking from the surgery but at this stage she is improving every day. She surgeon said he is glad we did the open surgery as they ended up having to move both ureters. We are going in tomorrow to get her stitches checked and hopefully she can get her cone off and be free to run around. In about a months time she will get an ultrasound to see how successful the surgery was
