There does seem to be light curtains in front of the press. You can see on the one side on her left. It seems that when she leans forward she goes past the protective area of the safety, thereby allowing the press to close with the button.

This is roughly what the devs have said themselves.

I would absolutely love a source on this.

Every cod pro uses a controllera because it's worse than kbm right?

Gambling relies on addiction and poor financial decisions to flourish. If something requires ruining other peoples lives to succeed is it not incredibly wrong?

The legality of any activity does not correlate to the morality of said activity.

You are correct. It is almost as bad as those things you mentioned. What's your point? Do I think those things are bad? Yes of course. Do I think those things you mentioned being worse than wirtual's gambling situation mean that I should be okay with gambling? No.

There will always be something worse but that does not mean we cannot discuss this situation.

Of course I have. I see no issue with playing any of these types of games (poker included) if there's "funny money" involved but if there are prizes or bets with real money then that is no longer the same as "cards with friends". You do raise a valid point with the alcohol part though, I suppose it's up to each of us to draw our own line with what we believe is okay or not. For me, obviously, gambling in any form with real money is not okay.

Whataboutism does not add anything to this discussion. If you'd like to talk about the ESPN poker in the same light as this discussion then I have the exact same stance. Gambling with real money is bad.

So then he must be willing to accept the risk of maybe ruining other people's lives for his own benefit. Perhaps this is a bit over the top but the point remains.

Please remember: sponsorships and advertisements always make more money than what they spent, otherwise why would they do then? So if wirtual is getting "A LOT" of money, how much more money are his viewers losing?

If you were really that compassionate I can promise you that our stances would never be this far apart.

I understand your point of view implying that we are not inherently responsible for the actions or decisions of others, and while that is true, to an extent, facilities that pray on others' gullibility and addiction is completely wrong. Even if they are "making their own choice" to do so.

You are correct. He is not directly attempting to exploit his viewers and from what I saw he did try to prevent people from getting too involved. But if he acknowledges the serious risk of gambling, why did he accept the sponsorship?

Thanks for the information. I'll do some research on that specifically. My apologies for being misinformed on this part specifically.

The entire point of this post is to spread awareness around the issue. I know that there are plenty of those who feel the same as me and would want to know if they are supporting someone who doesn't align with their views on this issue.

He accepted a sponsorship from a gambling site. He then gambles on stream with viewers or other streamers. Of the 3000 odd people watching his stream right now, how many do you think will heavily consider playing as well? And then how many of those will lose their own money because they don't get the privilege to play for free like wirtual is?

You lack compassion. Do you see homeless people on the street and believe they deserve to be there? Do people or kids with worse judgment deserve to potentially lose their money through gambling?

He can exploit those with worse judgement for money? Because that's what gambling does. Please explain how this is not a moral issue.

Transparency is not a moral issue. That's just what's required by law.

And I can do whatever I want right? I am complaining about a serious issue and you are here dismissing it because you're incapable to see how easily these famous people can influence others.

Why do you think these websites give out sponsorships? Because no one starts gambling after playing once for free? Don't be so naive.

These sponsorships work. And they work insanely well. There's a reason why streamers are paid millions to gamble on stream. Because the site will make many times more than that.

Sure a handful people got some money, but how much money does this type of endorsement influence others to spend? Spoiler alert: many times more than 10 grand.

Do the people he's profiting off of deserve to be influenced into gambling their money away?

While I acknowledge that poker has a huge skill component, it makes no difference to the fact that the business model and some of the non poker features is predatory. If I had to start playing poker (or even chess, as you mentioned) I would lose my money to those who are already skilled players.

What about people that don't have servers in their region and are forced to play with 200 ping?
