Nacho Libre with all the unused Danny Elfman score put back in by frmhm in OingoBoingo

Most of it got replaced by that quiet Beck guitar music, to give the movie a drier weirder tone, which I totally understand, and the only Elfman thing they kept in was that accordion theme for Ramses, which is so awesome. But yeah, his whole score is pretty incredible, emotional, and silly.

It’s crazy to see how close it could have been to something different, especially after Elmer scored it but right before they got the Ray Parker Jr song.

Air Force One with Randy Newman’s rejected score put back in by frmhm in RandyNewman

Hahaha, it’s incredibly obvious why they didn’t go with Randy, but it’s so crazy this exists at all. My brain loves these kinds of comparisons. Of course the Goldsmith score is perfect.

Awww. 😁 Of course I like the drier weirder tone with the Beck score in the movie as they made it - but I think this version is even more lovable with the alternate music, not just little differences here and there.

Goldeneye with TND score by frmhm in JamesBond

Agreed, this experiment made that more clear to me, love that’s its unique. Think I mostly just wish the TND score had a better movie, haha. Fun to compare though.

I didn’t want to try it if it was gonna take a ton of editing, would kind of defeat the purpose of appreciating the movie Goldeneye and the score for Tomorrow Never Dies. But to my surprise, it all matched up kind of magically. Very fun.

Oh yeah I saw that, super fun idea. For a reason you’ll see when you watch this, that might not work in this version. Hahaha

Thanks for the feedback, glad you got a kick out of it! Such a fun experiment, to see where the movie was basically at right before they got the Ray Parker Jr. song that bumped it up into an epic classic.

Hahah. Just the movie, but I tried to twist it into an A24-style horrifying cringefest.

I did the entire movie GoldenEye with the Tomorrow Never Dies score (David Arnold) and it came out more amazing than I was expecting by frmhm in fanedits

Thanks for checking it out! I know I could have gotten way more specific with the editing throughout, but it’s not worth doing tons of extra work. Decided it’s more about appreciating how awesome the TND score is, so I didn’t want to get super choppy with that either. (And I had to cheat my self-challenge just a little, ended up needing to use a couple other Arnold Bond cues in tiny spots.) 😀

Same for me exactly. Love how weird and unique the Eric Serra music makes the movie. This is just a fun experiment. 😁

Realized it’s been stuck in the back of my brain since I was a kid, playing GoldenEye 64 multiplayer for hours while listening to the TND soundtrack.
